The design similarities are obvious from the first peek.

To me the bezels are a little too large than they should be for a phone like this. I mean it has a 6.1 inch display which is smaller than the 6.2 inches of the pixel 8 yet it is 2mm longer and 2 mm wider as well. That just makes the phone too large for such a display size. And therefore, this one is a pass for me until the 8 drops in price significantly.

    Dr. Watson, 10 Oct 2023> 7 Gen 1 or Gen 2 would probably be a better fit given ... moreImx802 is 108mp 1/1.3" with same tech of imx888 ( Lyt800).

Unfortunately, this phone will be significantly overpriced; it won't be a hit like 7a.

So what that we live in a year 2023 present. We are already so advanced that we should have them cause we live in the year of 2023.

It's same dumb reply from me for the year number just like yours.

I dont even expect for Pixel to have 3.5mm jack cause they lost it years ago. I even had 6a in my list of what to buy for my next phone this spring while i was aiming for X5 Pro at the time cause it have the 3.5mm jack while 6a favor was only the phone size. And then come out Poco F5 and i went with that.

Also i have wireless headphones but i dont use them with my phone cause these are full cup over ear headphones.

For gaming and video i prefer wired cause i get really annoyed with a bit of out of sync with the sound when i watch video entertainment

            There better be 256GB option

eXultia, 10 Oct 2023Already? 7a was just released 😳The 7a's design was leaked in November but the phone released in May. A phone can get leaks months before it releases.

I do expect the 8a to be released slightly earlier though, but probably only by a month.

Dr. Watson, 10 Oct 2023...the screen is flat. You are correct. Curved glass on top giving the appearance of a curved display. That's even worse!

                      > Victus isn't really needed given the older Gorilla Glasses are already strong.
                      > Matte plastic is fine for the back as it doesn't scratch as easily as glossy plastic and, of course, doesn't shatter like glass does.
                      > IMX787 is still fine. I don't know that much about camera sensor stuff though.
                      > Wasn't the camera on the 7a 26mm?

I skipped the headphone jack because that's a whole other can of worms I might open in a separate comment.

if there's no 3.5mm then you may as well go for the upper mid-range 8, it's just the same except with a more useful tensor thing.

It's almost 2024 and we are still using steam engines across the world for many things. Floopy disks are being used daily by many institutions. Etc, many things you have no clue about

So saying stupid things like its outdated is totaly wrong. Just because YOU can not think of a use for something does not mean all 8 Billion of us can't.

Just me, 10 Oct 2023Plastic back is more easily scratched than glass one.But it doesn't brake as easily, is lighter and cheaper

If you use a case it doesn't matter what the back is made of. So you only have benefits of using a plastic back

And when the removable battery law takes affect you will be able to switch the back like old times

eXultia, 10 Oct 2023Already? 7a was just released 😳I also find it weird when they had like 7 and 7 Pro release in 2022 fall and then 7a in 2023 spring as half a year later. Was same with the 6 series too and 5 series.
Now they do it fast with the 8a

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2023Ever heard of adaptors?Dumb argument. More gadget is not better solution.
Just like people complain about no microSD while it also have solution to use usb sticks.
Never mind that the adapter also have issues. I tried adapter like 6 years ago cause i had a type-c plug phone and no 3.5mm jack and then audio cut out a lot every after some period of time then i needed to unplug and plug in again or move the 3.5mm jack.

And also no FM radio with the adapter and type-c.
Well to be honest my phone now have 3.5mm jack but also dont have FM radio but i listen trough internet now anyways and even with my last phone that also had 3.5mm jack i used internet cause it was better as FM Radio get a lot of static when moving

Half of the world live without electricity even now as 2023

Also people still prefer vinyl record players over all the digital and that is like century old technology that is still better then what we have now as all the digital.
