That's your own decision, I use mine all the time even on phones that are barely more expensive than this, which is yes my own decision. That's right, however getting less for my money is something I don't like, and is objectively not a good thing. No accessories in the box and slow 25W charging is also not a good thing, not even at this price point. You can get the Infinix Note 30 Pro instead of the A05s for just a little more at around 260 usd, and while that phone also doesn't have an ultrawide camera, it has a better main camera, better build quality, 120hz OLED display, stereo speakers, better chipset and UFS storage, also comes with a pre-installed plastic screen protector and an extra glass one, a charging cable and brick, a cable, earphones, a case and even a 15W wireless charger, because it does support that, on top of the much faster 68W charging. I've already received a couple of updates on said Infinix phone, and no of course it won't get as many as the A05s, but it can at least handle it's current OS.

It doesn't matter who makes the chipset, what matter is that it's better. Either way, the Helio G99 is significantly better than the Snapdragon 680, comes from Mediatek, and can be found on phones cheaper than this, with actually usable UFS storage instead of the outdated ancient eMMC.

Don'... moreWho's trying to dodge anything when they haven't even announced the price of this phone? You're either getting ahead of things or just want to assume price then assign blame, both are a wrong move on your part.
And if you think these cheaper "better chipsets" come from Mediatek or Exynos, then that tells me everything I needed to know, you have no idea what you're talking about and the discussion ends here.

Crying about 680 on an entry level phone... the things I have to read around here.
That chipset is more than adecuate for daily browsing and 6GB RAM is enough, without using any dumb RAM extensions. LCD will last you longer than amoled because the latter being organic means it will eventually degrade. The only downside is eMMC but you only notice it on an extreme case scenario like if you're playing an open world game that needs to load assets in real-time, for playing 1080p videos those reading speeds are more than enough to not face stuttering.
If you were planning to play Dumbshin Dumbpact or Dumb of Duty on a $100 phone you need to re-evaluate your priorities... this price-range will never be good for gaming unless all you do is emulation for 5th gen games and a few 6th (can confirm FFX and Wind Waker run fine on a 680), or setting native games to "low" in hopes to get stable 30fps. So why are you crying about the chipset?

so it didn't generate buzz due to it. people were all about S23+, almost no one care about Samsung A05 series
