Look up the early histories of Microsoft (and SCP) and Apple (and Xerox PARC). Zuckerberg's innovation was screwing over his friends (Saverin and the Winklevosses) in addition to everyone else.

Think of it like this, what has a social media platform got to do with your plumbong business?
I get extra traffic and thats all good, but you should redirect them to your site that has your design, your rules, your info
Plus more and more people dont want to use Facebook, Whatsupp, etc
Your own site is like a telefon number back in the day in the yellow pages, how should I find you if you are not in it?

Also, why bother doing such a thing with no guarantee for engagement when you have millions of people on Facebook with a far wider reach? Anyone who does the food takeaway business can relate to the latter. Facebook Groups and WhatsApp has always been the preferred medium.

I tried to quit... but everyone is there. All the info is there. All the shops info is there. Its like the center of everything and I hate it.. but no other alternative that everybody else use. Its like we are stuck and everyone is too lazy/comfortable to move on.
Meta has so much Ads everywhere and its crazy.
