But does it improve the performance? The review said it had worse performance than 10 IV. I've been waiting for an update on this but it seems GSMarena hasn't bothered testing it again.

Qualcomm ... moreI've used several phones with SD695. The ISP is crap, simple as. Among those phones, none of them take good pictures even in daylight. Just ok to maybe send on telegram to let someone know where you are, nothing more.
If only Qualcomm slapped the ISP from 720G/732G, now we're talking.
Mediatek, on the same class, does better IMO in terms of ISP. Just one step up and we get the 920....which is proper capable if optimized like Realme did with the 9 Pro+ and 11Pro+. G99, G96 takes good pictures as well, and those are not even in the same class as 695.

This phone is one of the worst things Xperia has ever put out. All plastic and in specs of a $150 phone. The 5V isn’t much better. Everything is designed to push you to buy the 1V.

Qualcomm simply did not want to give.
Snapdragon has much better ISP than Dimensity, still mediatek fanboys use antutu to justify SoC that no highest tier phone uses.

I set 60Hz.
I do all I want, still over 15h SoT.
That is ultra fair trade.
I charge every 50-52h.
If it is 100% on sunday 07 a.m, then I'll be charging only about tuesday noon.
Pointless to have SoC 10x stronger, set screen 120/144/165HZ if endurance becomes half or less.

Fun fact: there is no non-Chinese brand that can match prices of Chinese brands in mobile world. Why? Because they do EVERYTHING in the same country, their country called China, which greatly reduce the cost and impacts the final price as EVERYTHING is made in one country. Their own country. Ask you favorite browser why are Chinese brands cheaper then non-Chinese. Do it Millis. It's not that hard.
Sony should be compared price wise with other "western" brands like Asus, Google, Nokia HMD and Samsung.
Yes, Sony is too expensive. There is no doubt about that. But if you trying to compare it with Poco, Redmi, Realme and other budget oriented brands then I don't know what else to say.
