Apple trick. Comparing the pass-gen chipset instead of the last-year chipset.
7+Gen2 doing so great why Carl the Nothing Inc use 8+Gen1 on the newer lineup instead of 7+Gen2?
7sGen2 and 7Gen3 are just another copycat version of 778+.
I kinda understand why Google decided not to use the Snapdragon lineup now.

Let's just hope that SD will release 7+ Gen 3. This thing can't be the successor to 7+ Gen 2.

So according to some Antutu tests, it is nearly as powerful as the Snapdragon 888 in GPU power (faster than the 870 graphics). CPU is a match for the 888, and it consumes half the power. Pretty good stuff if you ask me. I've seen the Honor 100 running Genshin and Honkai like a champion with this SoC. For midrangers it will be plenty of power and way better than 695, 778 and its variants and even the recently announced 7s Gen 2 which is just a reskinned 6 Gen 1. Hope it gets widely distributed in 2024.

People need to get over the 7+ Gen 2. At least get over about wanting it to be on more cheap phones like the F5. POCO does it with their compromises, but for other manufacturers it is bad business. The chip is too good for their own interests, and having it more widespread would eat their flagship market segments alive. That is why after almost a year we only saw two phones with it and they released basically at the start when it was announced. Sad stuff because it is amazing, but too good to be true.

To promote it, they compared it with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, well it should have been compared with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 so we can see if there has been improvement with the latest chipset brought up by Qualcomm itself

So the 8300 is running circles around this chip from Qualcomm at lower prices I suppose. Also is slower than the generation before, 7+.2. "Nice" job Qualcomm! You're the "best"

People seem to like Qualcomm a bit more for their better driver and custom ROM support though, so in the case of this 7G3 it is a welcome upgrade to finally have some good performance outside of the flagship range without compromising on efficiency, like it was the case of the original 7G1.

They said Sony is one of OEM's to use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in 2024. I guess that's a welcome change, but I don't think we can expect it in series 5. There's more reasons for that chip to be an upgrade to S695 in their series 10. But if that happens I don't think we can expect great battery life as before with Xperia 10 series. Generally speaking sites are still pretty confused about this chip foundry. Is it made in Samsung or TSMC as Qualcomm didn't mention that info anywhere so all I found was roumors and speculations. Anybody?
