The intended consumers of brands like Infinix will only have one gadget as their phone, computer, and entertainment device. So they would prefer as large screen as they can get for the money. This is why the trend of larger screen size for phones.

        Relax. Infinix (and other Transsion brands like iTel) focus mostly in developing markets like Africa and SE Asia. Most of it demographics will like the design as they at least can look "up to date" without braking the bank. Remember, BBK and Xiaomi used to do the same in their early days.

            Infinix can make decent phones. They just try not to. Garbage like this won't sell. Copying iPhones with "Magic Ring" and that camera island is just plainly copied. If Infinix and Apple got into a lawsuit over this, Infinix better say some prayers.

              2) Htc, Asus and Sony do not make phones full of chinese pieves that cost much less than foreign counterparts
              3) Their phones use pieces from all over the world, that need to be shipped to their factories somewhere else, which means import taxes on components.
              4) Costs of business in Taiwan and Japan are higher, way more in Japan.
              5) low ends do not bring enough money, reason LG mobile broke. Ppl were basically only buying K series.
              6) many chinese phones are ODM from unknown brands, even phones sold by major brands. This decreases costs.
              7) having own factory is more expensive than paying 3rd party manufacturing, even brands like Xiaomi and oppo have huge % of their phones assembled by other.
              8) CN gov gives tons of advantages to local companies , to allow then undercut price of foreign this way getting many of them.out of business.

              Ace iii was sold for bit more than $220 back then.

                Just by reading the title I was sure about lame G chips, when even D7xx and 8xx are far better.

                  how hard is it for Nokia, HTC, Asus, Sony to make a low end like this? this is what people want, not overpriced devices.

                    Again with the big holes on smaller sensors

                          The Hot 40 Pro is cool if it costs significantly less than the Note 30 Pro, otherwise it makes no sense at all. The rest of the line doesn't make any sense either way.

                            I get embarrassed if I hold an actual iphone, let alone a copycat resembling its design!
