The only ipad I care about it the mini.
And they don't seem to be interested in it...
Same goes for iphones..
People liking devices with "plus" or "pro" or "max" while thinking way too little of anything with 'mini' attached is probably why the sales dropped.
If mini was regular, followed by pro, pro plus and pro max, then the regular would at least sell more than a mini.

Great hardware, wasted potential. Again, and again, I really hope that maybe soon Apple can bring something similar to MacOS to iPad, at least iPad Pro. Like come on man, you buy an iPad "Pro", you expect to do something "Pro" with it, some kind of multitasking, using it's potential as much as you can. Using large iOS (yeah I know it has Stage Manager blah blah blah but multitasking still not feels as great as MacOS) on a device that has similar spec with a MacBook Air is just feels... too limited, especially when you pay a grand for it. Anyone who needs an iPad for "basic tablet tasks" are mostly buying iPad Air and base iPad anyways.

Wonder for whats good is the Apple tablet for 1000-1500 if android tablet for 300-500 eur offers way better specs and usability.

People are not buying iPads like they used to. Is still a niche product (between iPhones and MacBook's), and it will remain like this.
Also, for movies or media consumption they are not that great, with all those black bars on top and bottom (I hate this). Also, the displays are still LCD (except the iPad Pro's 12.9"). True, they are the best LCD in the market right now, but comparing that to my iPhone Oled screen, well, is no comparison really, when I am watching movies or videos. Even when I want to play some mobile games is more comfortable holding my iPhone than some iPad. Even the iPad Mini is uncomfortable for me after some time.
The only reason I see buying an iPad is for productivity. Then again, if you buy the best iPad on the market (because you need that for productivity), you are getting into MacBook territory already. And a MacBook will always be superior for productivity work than an iPad Pro 12.9" for example.

But that iPad doesn't even have 120hz refresh rate and The tab s8fe would definitely have more multi tasking features. but for performance it would take the 8gen3 to match m1.

I'm looking forward to the new iPad Mini without Jelly Scrolling, although it never bothered me as i always used it for media in landscape mode. It makes for a nice second screen on my desk.

I only care about the iPad mini. For the price of the larger iPads, after you add accessories like the keyboard, might as well get a Macbook Air. Too bad Apple has put the mini as a step child. Probably won't get updated until 2026.
