Truly great news: it is wonderful to realize that you can wait and get a better phone, yes, but even better to know in what way it will be better. Virtual headsets and ultrawide lenses would seem an ideal combination for ultrawide sweep panoramas!! We’ll be able to be like Predator and wear our headsets to produce stunning 8K sweeps of scenes if the sensor of the ultrawide is at least 16MP and the lens no wider than 16mm, not the case now. Will Apple add a second more moderate ultrawide or use a 16mm to replace the wider option their quad-bayer sensors cant do good enough stitching and distortion correction with to be able to make 12mm Ultrawide sweeps with. We live in interesting times.

Here I thought of going with the iPhone 16 Pro next year. Welp I guess going for triple 48MP will do. I just hope the camera design is at least decent. Or new. Then again I'm waiting for punch hole design and not under display that looks like I'm my lens is fogged up. I guess 2025 will be where major brands finally put hardware to good use.
