    Dont call 6000 - huge. M51 have 7000 and I expect my next phone have nothing less than that!

        But as others have already said. Nothing "whopping" here as 6000mAh sold (3 years ago!) & still sells like hot cakes in India so very commonplace. Same reason why Samsung segments A series as "full software & hardware closer to S series" while M series is compromising on unnecessary things like plastic vs metal, and stripped down software (without Good Lock, Secure folder & Knox) to price competitively against even cheap Chinese brands in India and most of Asia.

          M12 had 6000mah battery way back in 2021

                would be great with dimensity 7020 for the 5G variant. i know M15 is basically A15, but 6100+ is just another rebranded 6080 then called it a day. i guess M series would sometimes have superior specs compared to A series counterparts. but intentionally reducing build quality in the process.

                  At least it's not just directly rebranding.

Even a $20 to $30 difference can sway prospective consumer to a different brand. So Samsung has to have a model in almost ever price point to keep prospective consumers within the Samsung brand.

                                Azu10157, 27 Dec 2023Anyone knows why only M-series always have huge batteries? M series are intended to compete with the mid-low end Chinese phones (the likes of Xiaomi and Realme), where 5000mAh is the minimum. Samsung brings the larger battery as a selling point.

                                  M14 also has a 6Ah battery, that's nothing special. Heck, the M51 had a 7Ah battery

                                    can they make a phone with a big battery, big megapixel camera etc but not charging speed?

                                      M14 is giving 6000 mAh battery so just marketing gimmick on M15.
                                      If M15 gave 7000 mAh battery, then it could be told bigger and better.
