Sprite, 02 Jan 2024Yeah brother but these guys prefer iphone, xiaomi, Samsung,... moreMotorola is very very expensive in other countries except the US, why they aren't popular.

Funny how iphone made it on the list anyway, although you clearly dislike it a lot.
Regarding Xiaomi, I really like what they are doing with cameras and wish Samsung and Google offered similar camera setup on their phones.

I was on the March security patch until August on Redmi's 2023 flagship phone. Do security patches really make much difference though? Have you ever heard of people hacked or compromised because they didn't have the most recent security patch? Many people own phones that have had no security patches for years and have never heard major reports of this causing any issues. Personally would much rather good updates that actually improve and optimise the phone every so often than just monthly security patches but little to nothing in terms of optimization

Pet Evo, 02 Jan 2024I totally agree with u George...i just dont understand why ... moreI thought exactly that about One UI, didn't find it appealing at all, then I got the Z fold 5 (coming from a decade of using only Xiaomi and Huawei phones) and the level of customisation is honestly insane, you just have to download the Samsung GoodLock app from their store and it unlocks a buttload of features I didn't even think was possible on phones. There is even an app exclusive to Samsung that lets you adjust the display refresh rate (I capped it to 96 Hz instead of 120Hz because it's still as smooth, but the battery lasts longer).

I totally agree with u George...i just dont understand why iOS is still dumb...bcoz of this, i never go for iPhones...want the hardware n the video capture, but the iOS will definitely b the 1 i cant understand to live with, the keyboard, the option accessibilty, back gesture....sigh
Yup Miui is the best for me, still using Mi11. Tried samsung OneUi, cant beat the Miui in terms of customizablity, easy access and speed...

I love my X13Pro too. Been using since March'22 and still get amazed sometimes. Its a beautiful device. I never used a case either. Playing emulated Wii and Switch games on GamesirX2 is pure joy. Camera is amazing only flaw the edge detection is mostly hit or miss in portraits.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2024Your comment is. Case would not protect front either Then I must be so lucky to not have had a broken screen on a single one of my phones in 20 years
but my guess is that you don't know how to choose good cases

Not sure where you got this idea, 'the outworldly-specced cameraphone that is so good that Xiaomi can only produce so many of them'. They have no production problems with this phone and can produce more than enough to meet demand. Xiaomi 13 ultra has never been out of stock in China since and they have currently discounted it to sell off the remaining stock before the arrival of the 14 ultra. They clearly have plenty of stock. It's the regular Xiaomi 13 that had by far the most demand and sales in the series. Similarly, the Xiaomi 14 is extremely popular in China and is their best selling flagship series phone ever within China (at least for the first couple of months of sales) . It even was sold out shortly after launch. No supply issues at all with the Xiaomi 13 ultra.

"irreconcilable differences with Funtouch OS make it a no-go for me"
What's so wrong with Funtouch OS? People seem to hate on it too much I believe. The Iqoo series has ads yes but afaik the X series does not. Nearly all non-flagship phones have ads nowadays. And do some people know that even flagship phones had ads? For example the S8+ I used had promotions from the Galaxy store and so did the S22 Ultra for the first year!
If we're talking about bugs then all OSs have bugs, some bother you because you use those features some don't because you don't use those features so you don't get to see them more.

JimmyTheGreatest, 02 Jan 2024I've been using Xiaomi's phones for almost a deca... moreidk man, the S22U I've been using was annoying at the start as I felt like I didn't get my money's worth but the fast and steady software support which improved smoothness over time made me get rid of that feeling. That's because usually the biggest problems that urge people to upgrade are either the battery or the choppiness. The battery has gotten a lot worse yes but the smoothness is still there to make me not need to upgrade, if the smoothness were the same throughout I'd have wanted to upgrade but it has gradually gotten better as time went on. For example even the reviewer complained about the updates in the long term review.
