SMYasir, 11 Jan 2024how has the 1080 held up so far Good enough for me, but I'm a multi platform gamer mind you.

Most recent and demanding game was DOOM Eternal, which ran perfectly fine in 1080p@60fps in optimized settings.
Been playing a lot of bad pc ports like the Squares NieR Games or EAs Wild Hearts in optimized settings. NieR Games were noticeably better on PC, but not worth the hassle.
Wild Hearts should be played on PS5 or not at all.

The Monster Hunter Games could be run at 1080p@60fps as well.

Can't say anything about 1440p, as I prefer to have systems and games for those systems over playing only two games on one overkill system.

The 4070 Ti Super will be great for Monster Hunter Wilds, Hellblade 2 and hopefully for Dragons Dogma 2 as well.

only in 2010s did the decent FHD monitors came out

you're probably suffering from first world problems

SMYasir, 09 Jan 2024FHD is completely fineI don't know when the last time you tried to buy a pc monitor was.. but there hasn't really been 1080p monitors available for a LOOOOOONG time! That is ancient technology that we left in the early 2000's.

Vin Aigre, 09 Jan 2024They are scammers. Ils better to wait the 70 series. It is better to wait for the next 3 generations coming from where?

I still run my GTX 1080, I want to play Hellblade 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds in the near-ish future.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super will be my new card in the coming months
