justasmile, 24 Jan 2024Chipsets don’t slow down. They don't, but the difference between the Snapdragon version and the Exynos version is going to become more prominent in 2-3-4 years' time.

The difference may be small now, but the benchmark advantage that the SD 8 Gen 3 has will show itself in real world use in the future.

I think all lower and mid-range devices are powered by exynos and there seem to be no complaints anywhere.

I think people need to see this objectively.

Most consumers don't know anything about Exynos or Snapdragon, outside of the tech enthusiast crowd (IE: GSMArena). It shouldn't even matter what chip they put in these phones, but they've chosen the SD for a reason. I'm still betting on it being superior performance and efficiency, along with a better modem. The iPhone lineup uses Qualcomm modems and want their Ultra models to compete.

the 1st exynos downdall was during galaxy s9 2018. . People of internet discover how bad it was compared to snapdragon 845. The phone run 3D mark wild life with one of lowest stability score in the database and reboot itself after repeat the benchmark.
Even run Fortnite with medium setting and strugled to maintain 30Fps .Feel like want to throw away the phone out of window .temp reach 50 defree.. What a poor chipset. Even Helio p70 midlle class chipset much more stable.

My S22u exynos is very fast for 2 years now. No hickups. No warmth. Exynos 2200 is fast and is cool.
It is, though ,not as efficient as SD 8 gen 2. So battery wise its not the best, but still ok.
Good chip. Getting the S24+ exynos 2400

Exynos 2200 was not that bad. It ran cool and very stable. It only good to better at the battery department.

So if they put exynos in the Ultra model they have a possibility that it will not be as good on every domaine as the competitors sdevice (but the exynos can be better in some others domaines).

When was the last we saw deca core SoCs, the mediatek x20? If they can keep it running cool it should be a pretty good SoC tbh, probably handle the low performance apps a lot more efficiently. Could be the best year for the exynos variant, good to see.
