Huawei has attracted many developers to its in-house OS and about half of the Top 200 apps in China are being ported over from Android.

      US and EU combined population is only half of China's total population. Even if HarmonyOS Next is only available in China, it can thrive. Huawei need to focus on growing their market share in their own country.

                LMAO spatial vivid colour LMAO and they show 3 pixel wide colour on a FLAT white with black text calendar app and only 3 specific single characters showing colour LMAO..

                I applaud the move to more dimensional UI vs being flat that Apple iOS 7 did and influence the industry. Garbage move that set us backwards just when mobile GPU's began to take off in a meaningful way. Hated that Android followed this as well.

                        anyhow. because it'd be a 3rd competitor that could potentially disrupt the ios/android duopoly? because, as a newly developed OS, it might have a much better foundation than ie. Android and offer better perf/battery life/security (yeah CCP aside)?

                        I mean, the fact that you can't even imagine one reason why this is good is rather baffling
