Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024It's hilarious that you keep bringing up Realme vs Xpe... moreHint: OnePlus 12 has an F1.6 lens as opposed to OnePlus 11's F1.8 lens. When you take that as well as the sensor size increase into account, the overall light gathering should have been improved by 59%, which is vaguely in line with OnePlus' "50% more light" claim.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024When sony semicon had FSI sensors, they where called Exmor.... moreNot even the iPhone 15 Pros use Exmor T sensors as far as my knowledge goes, just the Xperia 1 V, Xperia 5 V and the Find N3/Open.

Also, the LYTIA family is meant mainly for Sony to streamline their smartphone sensors offering.

Unfortunately I have no money to buy it

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024When sony semicon had FSI sensors, they where called Exmor.... moreJust a good old rebranding campaign to confuse potential customers, we've seen AMD & Intel's "rebranding" before.

The price has already come out, 1,500 dollars per base

Darth Caesium, 23 Jan 2024Da fuq? How does that work? Do all of the sensors have Exmo... moreWhen sony semicon had FSI sensors, they where called Exmor.

When Sony Semi started using BSI tech, they called then Exmor R, which are majority large sensors like m4/3, apsc, FF and medium format.

As tech has advanced, more modern exmor were called RS. This include sensors for phones and those for cameras that use DRAM inside.

Exmor T is latest tech, the dual layer pixel transitor. Devices with this tech are: xperia 1v , xperia 5v , iphones 15/15+ and Find N3/Open.

OP12 and Realme GT5 PRO do not have it.

Even digital chat station has few times made clear that LYT 808 is not Exmor T type like LYT T808.

LYTIA is just how Sony Semi now calls Exmor for Mobile, to set them apart from exmor used by other applications like cars, industry, security, medical etc ..
Being LYTIA does not mean being Exmor T.

This is very expensive tech. Imx903 (48mp 1/1.14" ) for next iphone pro is tipped to cost 2x price of imx989.
Yes, it has more light sensitivity than 989 by 15% at least.

An exmor T 1/1.28" can already match Exmor RS type 1.0

justasmile, 23 Jan 2024Goodbye 1-inch hype, just take a look at what OnePlus has!The nothing phone doesn't have it either! and challenges are exaggerated

neo, 23 Jan 2024Oppo sells a lot of their mid-range phones globally. I also... moreNo idea, I thought they made predictions and the result was that people are buying Chinese phones just for the price globally and not for performance... Or that demand for flagship smartphone photography is only in Asia...

jiyen235, 23 Jan 2024I think it only happened for the Oneplus Open, because the ... moreOneplus has already officially stated that the Oppo Find x camera team are optimizing the camera software for the Oneplus 12

Nick Tegrataker, 23 Jan 2024I assume Oppo and OnePlus are very likely working together ... moreI think it only happened for the Oneplus Open, because the Open is basically the global version of Oppo's phone, they called it the Oneplus Open cus Oppo has literally no clout in the west compared to Oneplus. That's why. Look at the Oneplus 11 and compare its processing to the Find X6 Pro or the Find X5 Pro, they weren't working together back then. I hope they do again, but i think it's unlikely.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024Again with this BS. They straight up say that the LYT808... moreBecause IMX789 is larger than IMX766/890... another factor is apature... Do your research first

                              So far so great.
Samsung can go nuts with their (useless forced to users with next UI update) so called AI.
                              Oneplus goooooooooo Wohohoooooo.
                              Just got a bit excited.
Hey oneplus dont screw it i have big hopes in you.

I also don't understand why Oppo why not launch globally X7 ultra. It would be enough to make a global ROM, maybe there are patents behind it again?

space808, 23 Jan 2024I cannot understand why this is not a Find X7 Ultra in a On... moreTotally agree. I was interested in buying OFX7U but no global rom is cumbersome (no Android Auto). No eSIM on top of that. I got a good preorder deal for S24U though, so the only one who didn't profit from this is Oppo :-p

Meh, not really that excited about this phone.

Yeah it IS strange that Realme would have the same sensor as a Sony Xperia... normally they should have something better!

the same sensor is in the cheap Realme GT5 PRO and someone thinks it is the same pixel stacked sensor as in the Oneplus OPEN haha 🤡
