2500AUD for a phone, 100+ in cables and carplay still does not work on a 2023 Arkana lol.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2024You can be just as productive with an A54…I still have a lovely OnePlus 7 Pro, stock and not updated in a long while. I have more than enough to be able to afford a 15 pro max with 1 TB even. But despite being a laughable reason, the ergonomics and the notch are mainly what has always kept me away from the iPhone land. I don't want a phone that weighs over 200 grams and has no punch holes either, but I need it to be supported for at least 5 years. Using GSM Arena's phone finder, there are zero options for me.

sometimes it doesn't matter but some services link to your default device for password resets and such, but yeah all I do is log in to my icloud settings, remove device from usage list, then log out

If their design their phone and optimize only for specific things, that is absolutely waste and end up won't selling well because (only for that things).
If I choose phone, just like you said, its my money, I choose what I like, and never follow whatever tech youtuber, Instagram especially on tech account comparison said sometimes just very toxic.
Anyway back on topic, I think those additional update security stolen protection in my opinion possibly very useful.
My friend iPhone being stolen, she lockdown her iPhone just follow instruction official Apple security, she track her iphone with her ipad or Apple watch as I remember, found her iPhone was already in some phone store, shop owner explain there was a guy have her iphone want to sell it, shop owner refuse to pay him and alert as the shop found out that is stolen iphone, the guy is got arrested already. To open the lockdown she just follow the Apple instruction and have her phone back.

Not an iPhone user but iPhones are one of the most traded used devices in the world. I can imagine a nightmare of people waiting an hour to change password and depending on trust of the sellers. Correct me if I got it wrong?
