You can use the headset as a virtual display for your Mac, this includes running games from Steam. There are plenty of other entertainment and productivity options too.

                        AR, AR/VR goggles, VR games, 3D movies, 3D cameras and what not - the general idea has been around for decades but has always stayed in a market niche.
                        Why? Because humans prefer tools the fun and the utility of which outweigh their hassles and surpass competing technologies.

                        VR goggles do still have some inherent hassles: They are relatively heavy, they look like something from an alien planet, some people report headaches or vertigo and nausea.
                        In other words: wearing such a chunky device on your head will always be sort of in your way of getting things done (other than games).
                        And while the immersive experience of a true and fun 3D-game might be worth the hassle, there is a huge question mark where the potential benefits of theses googles are for productivity tasks? Can I really type my word document or excel sheet faster when wearing these goggles? Do they really make me more productive?

                        I would be more than happy to see a new technology actually being disruptive and making old rechnologies obsolete - but as of yet, I am skeptical how this will pan out.
