On 3 android 13 phones I have access to, I can hold the assistant button, tap search and it allows me to to crop the scope of the search by dragging the unblurred box to what I want to search.
The circling action might look cooler or take 2 seconds less, but it is the same thing.

Saying “Samsung replicates Google apps” is extremely misleading. Samsung Apps are there because Google’s own Apps lag in innovation. But Samsung has been determined to provide its customers with new and best features for years. Therefore, Samsung has always been inventing on its own. Google and iPhone have been copying those innovations from Samsung Apps.
