Sd 778G successor is sd 7 gen 3, mid range soc with only A715 cores without big cores which offer balance of power and good battery.

Sd 695 successor is 7s gen 2 and 6 gen 1 cortex A78 but now Quadcore...

You have D8300, sd 4 gen 2, Exynos 1380 etc all offer incredible perfomance at their price point, I have never seen healthier soc choice than now.

So this is what they were talking about. The one that will possibly be in Poco F6/ Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Turbo

Two years ago I thought the 778G might have been the 695 or Dimensity 700 by now, but I was horribly wrong.

IpsDisplay, 04 Feb 2024Can you believe in 2024 there are people that say "... moreYear old flagship performance is still not middle class just year later.
There is not a lot of middle class phones that have performance over 700.000 Antutu V10 bench. That seems to be the top end of middle class for few years now. SD 7+ gen 2 give a bit hope for the top end of middle class performance to rise.

Dimensity 8300 is in the middle class phones and it's as good or better then 8 gen 2 but that also is a rare thing and not on a lot of phones.

While new flagship chips just running away from all the middle class by being in 2 million points in Antutu and then this year we be even in 3 million range then middle class phones performance should start from like 1 million point but still is around 400k with SD695 like performance that should be budget class based on the leap that the flagship have done in past few years

Qualcomm and TSMC monopolies most be stopped. We the customers are the ones losing in the end.

Qualcomm : We have new SoCs this year
OEMs : No way, we will keep using SD695 for another decade !

Lonteku , 04 Feb 2024Did Qualcomm abandoned sd 6 gen series ( last time 6 gen 1)... moreLooks likely but I do feel like they could release later versions. Also apart from the SD 8 series, the other series naming convention looks wonky

                There are 8g3 and 7g3.
7+g3 ( nerfed 8g3) is on the way.

This unknown chip is above 7+g3 ..

In trying to make some sense of the specs it now has two names, but we already have a Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Not a tip he just made it up again.

Now he posted without evidence specs for a new unreleased flagship SoC complete with Antutu benchmarks, now everyone is trying to fit this into Qualcomm’s portfolio and finding it makes no sense
Even Roland Quandt another so called tipster posted
Really wonder what the difference between SM8635 and SM7675 will be. They both show up looking basically identical, but.... I've never seen this happen with anything Qualcomm. Two model numbers for the same chip...

S23 is cheaper than S24 and S22 is half price of S24 S21 is like 1/3 price of S24.
                        Just an example.
As long as we can use still more than capable CPU there is no need to create something new which is litterary the same like the ones we already have.

                          7+ Gen 3?

It seems weird to launch a 'Gen 2' product after 'Gen 3' was already released.

And even 8 gen 1 can work this way or 7 gen 3.

Hopefully manufacturers by TSMC. 8+ gen 2 and 7+ gen 3 Will also make sense

Probably 7+ Gen 3, would be interesting to see real world performance once implemented into later devices.

Let's hope that this goes well.
