Available in Aus for $199-and I don't mind the fact it's using eMMC storage and the Helio G36 handles Genshin Impact at the lowest of low settings.

I don't get why they still use this chipset. Even for normal day to day usage it sucks these days. Two years ago it still performed OK for such activities but already back then it clearly showed it reached the limit of what is possible with that chip. I get it that it must be cheap but cheap doesn't mean it's only reserved for people who do zen mediation (read having the time to wait until it responds...). I have nothing against basic devices (I actually prefer such devices compared to ridiculously expensive powerhouses) but not with hardware that only frustrates for basic activities.

Using cpu with cortex A53 is wasting resources anyway. Slow & laggy as hell.
For G series at least G88 or G99. SD suppose 680 & above.
But who know maybe target market is for old folks or child with minimum use of device.

The helio g chips need to retire why Mediate can't see this is beyond me the only one that's good is the g99 which to me should have been a first gen 5g chips they need to wake up.

We need at least the Snapdragon 680/Helio G88 to make a worthwhile smartphone. Anything less powerful is E-Waste.
