My s23 was alot darker and crisper, the green colours look especially horrible. Really hurts knowing i spent so much to upgrade but its really a downgrade. The screen feels like its trying to be bright, it even hurts my eyes at low dim.

Note that, in my experience trying to adjust the vividness slider on my own device, I had to disable "adaptive color tone" and "eye comfort shield" before the setting appeared for me.

for those also wondering, vivid screen mode also works now, although just toggling it to vivid will do nothing, u have to first go to advanced and then increase the vivid bar, only then will the difference show

WTH, shadows were already too bright and everything was oversharpened and they boosted it even more? Is this some kind of joke? Or samsung love photo-turpism.

Phone Critic, 24 Feb 2024Don't worry this is Major Part 1 of 2 Updates the Next... moreIn the UK, the update to my S24+ ws 480MB and the vivid slider is missing and I can't tell if it's any more vivid, not that I was looking to have the colours pop more, but if this update is missing the vivid slider and was a lot less than the 750MB advertised, it seems some things have been omitted.

I got the update in the UK yesterday and I honestly can't see any camera improvements. It still sucks in low light. Noisy with overly warm colour profile and poor detail. My wife's standard s23 takes better images. I've played about with every setting but can't get it to take a decent low light picture.

Would be great if GSMArena revisited smartphones camera reviews 3 to 6 months after release because nowadays smartphones almost always come with unoptimized camera apps. You can only dream.
And of course, I'm looking forward to better (more complex) test scenes - this colorful poster is way too easy for modern smartphones.

Already updated 2 days ago here in PH. Love the difference in camera shots! Gone are those washed out, oily or shining faces. Still hoping they could sharpen those 30x or more zoom.

Most people unmoved but bashing are insecure that they're not hoping to get this fast and for years of update. Thumbs up for Galaxy Epic!
