If it doesn't work, that means the screen protector company cheated you. They shouldn't be selling it, or sell it with disclaimer that fingerprint will not work and users would need to use alternate login methods.

        Ultrasonic finger print sensors while more secure are crap. 90 perce t of the time they fail and do t unlock. Better technology will be to do a proper, secure face unlock

          Sorry to spoil it, but if the phone functionality is impaired, then it's not the best screen protector. It had one job to do and it didn't do it well.

          Screen protectors are not like USB devices which are expected to work universally, but they are manufactured specifically tailored to the target device. They had got 6 years to fix their act and still manufacturing flawed protectors, I would advice you stay away from them.

That is also the reason why many companies choose the lower down fingerprint reader when using optical fingerprint readers too. The optical fingerprint readers which are higher up on the screen are much more expensive than the lower down ones (according to Oneplus they cost twice the amount). It's all to do with cost.

                      Bought s23 ultra for around 1800 dollars (local currency converted). Applied the best screen protector I found and VOILA... that sh..ty fingerprint sensor isn't working. What the hell would I do with extra security. It's not like my mobile has atomic laboratory secrets or account handling of millions of dollars. If I needed extra security I would shift to iPhone. And that I did after selling that stupid Samsung phone
