Well guys ChromeOS it is. (Ex: chromebase, chromebox, and chromebooks)

Again?History is repeat itself.Like always one at the same story with one at the same end.Over and over again like video and audio in the loop.

The whole thing seemed to be full of caveats and never properly supported from the jump. I've been running it with the Play Store for almost 2 years now and while I do find it potentially useful, it's just not reliable enough to make it worthwhile. Especially once the caveats are factored in.

They never delivered it anyway. It was cancelled long ago, due to lack of professional developers. So they just made virtual machine instead. Which is, of course, unusable solution.

Just like Microsoft to kill off products within a few years of introduction. Cortana? No. Meet Copilot. Windows Phone? Well see you later. It's just dead on arrival at this point.

Sad, I didn't even had the chance to test it as my laptop (R7 2700U/16GB RAM) wasn't supported for Windows 11. I guess it failed because they didn't advertised it a lot, so nobody knew about this and they relied mainly of the Amazon app store for the apps.
I know that Bluestacks and other programs exist but I would have preferred to have a 1st party solution more well baked into windows the a 3rd party solution. I still don't trust Bluestacks, because in the past, after a big update, everything that I had on it, was deleted.

                      Like ti really matters.
Run google put a BLUESTACKS to a searchbar download and run the app.
It will give you latest version of android over your windows.
All you need is to log in with your google account and you can use anything that stock android offers.
You can even run google play and install whathewer app or game you want. Everything is supported.
                      Its called BLUESTSACKS.
                      No need to thank me.
                      Go try it and enjoy.

Linux is called WSL as well, Windows Subsystem for Linux. Misleading as F.

This was expected. First, it was region restricted, meaning majority of the world couldn't even use the feature. Then there's the Amazon store access instead of the actual Play Store. So it's basically useless anyway.

It's sad because as an ecosystem, Android really needs a laptop/desktop equivalent of Apple Macs. Apple users have complete ecosystem. Android users must realy on the love/hate relationship between Google and Microsoft on Windows. Some OEMs like Samsung and Huawei tried putting their own proprietary stuff in their laptops, but that locks you into their brand.

senja, 07 Mar 2024This has nothing to do with that...This is about android and windows, not nothing.

I tried it before, and it's not too bad. However, Microsoft relied on Amazon Appstore as the main front end, which was a mistake since it wasn't as large as Google Play Store. What Microsoft should have done instead is to give a frontend shell for manual APK and AAB file installation. Let us install the app manually and not rely on any App Store.
