Wow, a great achievement. In EU one can have as many as possible sims from one provider. I have dual sim phones and two sims on them since about 2012. One from main provider, Orange, the other from Digi, the home internet provider. Both services with data. In roaming I use whichever has the lowest prices. Like in the US I use Digi on T-Mobile, while in Europe I use Orange since I have 8GB available from the home plan. The us people are simply enslaved by greedy corporatism. The one from Digi is private, exclusive for family, nobody has it in their databases.

I guess this can be useful for small business owners. But note that this seems to be a voice/text plan only, no data allowance. Since VOIP providers are aplenty in the US, I wonder how popular would this be though.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2024Not a great idea. Much, MUCH better a second line in OTH... moreUseful if you don't want to give your number out to certain people or clients if you're a business. It can make life easier.

Using a different carrier isn't really a thing in the US because prices are higher than Spain. Not really comparable at all.

            Not a great idea.

Much, MUCH better a second line in OTHER carrier, for extended coverage and fault tolerance.

In Spain I have a conditional call divert (in case of no coverage) between two lines, reciprocal. If any of both carriers are under coverage I receive the calls.

BTW, curiously one costs me 4.90 euro (unlimited calls, 10 GB if data, Vodafone network) and the other 5.1 euro (35 GB of data, 100 minutes of voice calls, Movistar network).

what are the hidden costs that comes with it tho?

For JUST $10 u can have 3 months of unlimited 5G data and voice call in some countries
