For god sake it's 90 degree bend at the frame corners. Aside from candy bar shaped, it doesn't get any more vague than that. Sony's design is not distinctly Sony because the radius of the edges is unique, it's that the entirety of the design is unique and they stuck with it so it's now a part of their brand image.

Flip a samsung phone into manual mode and compare it to xperia on a nice display, you'll seen see why. Samsung is meant to make people who know nothing about photography happy. Sony is meant to make people who are good at photography happy.

To put it gently, Sony is generations behind in software be it image processing or updates in general.no sane person would tweak camera settings for 2 minutes to take a stupid pic,everyone gonna point and shoot .

it will be announced with SD 8 gen 3 and android 14 after Snapdragon itself introduced SD 8 Gen 4 and Google introduced Android 15, sony's typical.. always 100 steps behind even by newbie manufacturers

First of all: I hugely appreciate Sony's persistence with the 3.5mm audio jack and the microSD slot. Both things are of great value to me.
That being said, I have been waiting for years for the Xperia 1 or 5 to get some issues sorted out.
First of all: only 2 major OS updates really trails the competition by a lot. Samsung and Apple are in the vicinity of 5 or even 7 years of update policy. This is something, Sony should really get up to at least 4 years, if they want to keep the reselling value of their phones attractive.
Second: The audio output over the 3.5mm audio jack isn't exactly the best. Audio quality trails that of Sony's in-house dedicated portable audio player devices by quite a lot, even the cheapest ones that cost 50-75% less than the Xperia 1.
Third: The camera cannot do macro!! A flagship camera phone device advertised to creators that cannot do macro is something I just cannot understand. Also, the sensor hardware is not exactly competitive among current camera phone Flagships.
For half the price this would be acceptable, but a device that costs around 1300 USD, Sony should really provide larger sensors and brighter lenses.
So let's hope Sony will implement some of these features in the Xperia 1 vi.
