Neither are perfect. Android has a couple more hiccups, but not to some massive degree by any means. Also only due to the fact it's an open, full blown, customizable, computer system. Where as IOS still has hiccups, but on a slightly smaller level due to it being more like a system wide restricted app launcher. To which is uses that to create the illusion it's perfect.

Everyone always says the same thing someone told... moreAgreed, and in fact, Android is easier to use than IOS because of customization, Android's widget, shortcut and toggles allow user to access certain app/function easily with only one/two simple steps. Though the benefit of customization come with a price, which are complexity and more hardware intensive compare to IOS. But personally, I think Android isn't that COMPLEX as many IOS user think/afraid of.
For example, you uses Gmail frequently on your phone, so to make your life easier, you can place a Gmail widget on your homescreen, it consume bit memory but allow you to view your mail-box straightly on your home-screen the without even open up the Gmail app, placing a widget is VERY EASY AND SIMPLE (just 2~3 taps and tada, that's it), unless you are an super idiot, else you SHOULDN'T FOUND IT HARD to perform some simple customization like add/remove/modify widget/shortcut/homepage, change theme/lockscreen, file management and etc..
Perhaps, some Android users like to perform some deeper/heavier customization like rooting, CyanogenMod or etc. But that doesn't mean you have to do it as well, Android give user "choice" and "freedom" to customize their phone to suit their needs.
So far, I found IOS only having 2 advantages over Android which are overall OS smoothness and app stability.
Even the S4 with the latest version of Android and most powerful spec, Android still suffer few frame-drop or so called "lag". it is due to something about Android's Java related memory/cache issue which is very very hard to solve it but can only be optimized. But personally, the smoothness between Android and IOS isn't that huge since ICS, just a few occasional frame drop especially on Android high-end phone, though the "lag" will be more obvious on the mid/low end Android phone.
And because of Android have to support various phone with different dimension, hardware and even some additional non-default features like multi-window, air-gesture, one-touch mirroring, eye-tracking and etc, the chance for an app crashes in Android is obviously will be higher than IOS which have far lesser things that it need to take care of.
Other than that, Android is better, Android is more capable than IOS in many aspects, but that is my opinion.

Android is AT LEAST as easy as IOS if you are only doing the same simple things. Android however is not restricted in doing so, more flexible, and capable of doing more.
If all you want it texts, calls, internet, couple pics, and couple apps then its simple too.
If you are old you have to learn and get used to either. If you are new to smart phones you have to learn and get used to either.
Think before posting.

Of all those changes will be made, why don't they put some thoughts and ideas into the call log? It's the one you'll see most often besides the homescreen. You'll see the call log before and after a call. Why can't they just group the call and name and by date. I hate to see the call all over the places. One here, two there. So unorganinzed. Wish they make it that all of the call from a single person group together. Once you click on it, it display all of the call from that person list by the most recent first. Put a picture in all of the contacts too.

A little too late maybe..as far as i can see, apple is trying to prove that some features on android can be used on ios resulting to a-little-to-no-lag interface.
Since they will add features, it will be a little lag for sure.

Anyway, Nice t... moreits because apple iphones are the most user friendly and easiest to update etc. they appeal to the lovers or good smartphones and the older generations too, this is why they arent so complex as android because they want to make it easy for older people and young people too. they dont want you to go on the internet and search in youtube how to do this that and the other which i USED to do with my old android, they want it to be the most recognisable interface to use. this is why they sell like hotcakes

People need to stop with this nonsense.
I'm an Android user. I don't even consider switching to iOS or (especially) Windows Phone. But what's the point of arguing who copied whom?
For all of us, it's good that they are copying each other. iOS 7 is inspired by some Holo concepts that appeared in Android. So what? Isn't it nice that iOS users are finally getting a more streamlined OS with less distractions (all that skeuomorphism nonsense)? Isn't it nice that they are using nice effects like Parallax effects and shaded notification panels?
Same thing with Android... the essential concept of capacitive touch phones that are easy to use, with emphasis on draggable objects, expandable panels of apps with less complexity of the whole package (i.e., less physical buttons, less configs) were probably some directions that were cued to the Android team by iOS, webOS and so on...
Same thing with Windows Phone. An original UI concept that is still getting cues in the system from Android (notifications, the sharing system), trying to outperform the ideas of those who came first.
People should stop arguing for nothing, especially because I'm sure most (if not all) of you don't have any stocks whatsoever in any of those companies. The last thing we need is a one-player game like the Wintel of yesterday, when the desktop operating system stagnated for almost 20 years... Windows 7 is still the same Windows 95, usability-wise. Same ideas, same concepts. Same outdated concepts.
This is not a team competition. It's not a game.
