I hope the AirPods Pro 2 feature comes to the lightning case ones, I use them regularly like this to help with sensory processing issues in loud and crowded environments. They're really good for that and a free patch would make them even better.

Mills, 12 Mar 2024At least Apple doesn't screw up tablets. But I digress... moreNot really. The base model of the latest iPad is expensive. The latest iPad Air is nice, but the storage size starts with only 64 GB. The iPad Air is good, though.

potato4k, 12 Mar 2024$599 gives you only a 64GB iPad Air. Meanwhile, for $520, ... moreThe Air's M1 is already overkill for what 99% of users do with an iPad, but Apple is out of ideas on how to keep the iPad line relevant AND justify its many SKUs with staggered price points.

For the handful who use iPad Pros for DaVinci video editing, they could get more done with a Macbook Air.

        Bruh no iPad mini???
It's been 3 years without a new iPad mini
Literally the best size for a tablet
And there is no equivalent on Android side for it either

Airpods Pro 2 have been a big topic by Youtube audiology bloggers for more than a year now. Since Apple hasn't labled their Airpods as hearing aids, they haven't come under the legislation governing the Over The Counter hearing aids. Examples of YouTube videos discussing Airpods 2 as hearing aids: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=airpod+pro+2+as+hearing+aid

Mills, 12 Mar 2024M1 Air. The Tab S9 FE+ (base option) is 599$599 gives you only a 64GB iPad Air.
            Meanwhile, for $520, you’ll get a 256GB S9FE, and the S-pen is included.

Sure, the SoC is a far cry for the M1, but let’s face it, do you really need the power of the M1 to run iOS? The main advantage of iPad is the apps, not the hardware. Hardware wise, having more storage and stylus for less is more enticing. But Android tablet apps are simply poor in selection and quality compared to iPad apps.

Hearing aid mode could require an update for iPhones due to medical licensing. Have you ever noticed that smartphones have hearing aid certifications like "M3/T4"? Likely Apple wants to certify some proprietary system of their that will require compatibility changes on both ends.

iPads are still undoubtably the best tablets, but the Airpods can get in the bin. I'd rather pay for buds that won't lose half their functionality if I choose to change to Android.

At least Apple doesn't screw up tablets. But I digress, Xiaomi does it better internationally. In the US, it's either iPad Air M1 or Tab S9 FE (garbage even though basically the same price).

M1 runs plants ahead of E1380. Both are fast, but one is faster.
