Just in time for election "later this year" .....Ai craze should be stopped

this AI stuff is going too far, people will literally lose jobs because of it. Photography editors, actors, musicians, artists, and more will be out of a job, and people working in IT, medical, and engineering will all be directed by AI. Everyone will get poorer while big CEOs will just get richer. this needs to be regulated

Stable Diffusion's motion module (Animated Diffusion extension) is also catching up. I don't fully trust the "promo reel" for the Sora hype since it's obviously cherry picked clips to show the best clips, the question is whether it's the best generation out of 10, 100, 1000 or 10000+ generated animations. And this ALtman guy is Really trying to shill his product, HARD to generate that multi trillion dollar investment he is trying to snake-oil-salesman his way from the rubes who have quickly grown fat from free petrodollars.

"Later this year" is too late IMO, especially since AnimDiff motion module 3...which is ALL FREE and put together by hobbyist and non-corpos, is breathing down the neck of the multi-billion dollar golden child of the AI world "Open"AI. Time will tell.

Let's see how long this will last. If Gemini can't even give historically correct photos, what chance is there for something like this to prosper anyway.

I find so interesting how will this be regulated, especially if eventually open source models become this good

Generated images are already rampant in social media and being used nefariously, generated video is only gonna make things worse.

The blind pursuit of capital gains with gen AI will come with very dire societal consequences… (we are already seeing some, unfortunately)

I'm excited for this tbh, regardless of its consequences.

Well on second thought, I'm both excited and a bit bothered. It would annoy the hell outta me if I see fake videos trending on social media, either masquerading as real or just something so stupid.

I'm all for AI if it helps people but this hurts more than helps. People can lose their jobs over this new tool and it isn't fair just so some richie rich's can make some money for the gullible buying into the AI trend. This is the beginning of the end.
