While there maybe the factor of the USA banning chinese companies from trade to let them not advance as quickly, another point is, the authoritarian govt in china requires companies to share all of their data on demand from the govt. Which could compromise a lot of USA's confidential information.

US is sucking China's meat at this point. Watching their every move to be honest. I don't think any of these companies give a shit about the US in the first place. Besides, Asia is more advanced in technology than the US.
For instance, NVIDIA was gonna do some work with China for their AI GPUS but the US didn't want that because if you can't beat them, just ban them! Congress was patting themselves on the back. NVIDIA just said "ok" and just underclocked the GPUs ever so slightly and still sold them. US is meat riding China because they know China does it better. Why else do you think a US midranger is 500 USD while mighty Poco X6 Pro is like 350 USD and does objectively good?!
