They should also sue for osbsolence, forces updates, hardware lock. Quite sure all of those is not legal. Even we are lamely used to condone it.

Now, it's more locked down and has barely any hardware changes than they used to with removable battery, headphone jack, and micro sd support. Now rooting it getting harder (no VoLTE or RCS support), no RCS support besides system apps, bloated UI, Can't install old android apps anymore without more hoops to go through, unlocking bootloader is harder with more compromises, apps like Minecraft can't have any way to at least ask user if they should allow access to files in main dir (scoped storage), and probably more that I missed.

Been in it for 40+ year, and software developer.
Yes android took all iOS him.
Apple had been working for tenths of year on palm ( recall the Newton ? ) So their success is half ln merit to me.
But for the macos they also take from the others, from Xerox most notably, from some Unix mach open source, from older x11 Gui
So their merit is half on merit in the end. Also making those poor almost slave Shenzhen workers, well not the case anymore, but it used to be for a long time.
Android introduce many features too. 120hz refresh for example well not exactly the android Os but still. Just one came to mind.
But I low that opinion, it becomes more and more cumbersome, clunky, congested, sluggish, inflated. And most notably spyi... ( if you a bit nerdy, look deeply at what Shaddy services like googoo android intelligence, android ad services are doing. A pure privacy nightmare.... They use YOUR phone, your data, your battery, your internet, to improve THEIR business... And nothing really improved directly for you despite their claims. And they sell you those not beautiful pixels for 800, well people buy it so... Their choice.)

A bit more twekable, but they are making tweaking more and more difficult on purpose , and pretending it's for our 'security'. Like, trust me, customers, we are big brother here for you. Seriously... It's not your phone, it's their. They control for you to pay more, for obsolescence. For getting more of your money in the end. And the price of phone it's not acceptable. Anyway I don't trust lawyers to find any good solution about that, those us lawyer taking advice from those in EU and their cookies policy, mmmm don't smell very good for us in the end. They do that to get money from Gafa's and advertise of themselves, get some fame, that's about it to me.

One things we good in EU is sue those big companies to get money. Seem it's inspiring the us now...
In the end does it helps for us ? I seriously doubt. Remember those cookies, it's even worse...
Still, those Gafa they are dishonest at least to me. Hiding too many under the wood, like it's not your phone, it's their. Even android become same, harder and harder to tweak, almost impossible to root now ) and if you succeeds rooting, many problems, soft bricks, apps refused to work pretending for security reason what a joke. Obsolescence, privacy issues at all levels in APIs...
If you not both very nerdy and software engineer, you almost in the same sh't as apple.
