First Moto should fix their timely Android updates. Very very slow with Android updates (only 2 Android updates) as well as security updates - laggards in entire mobile industry. Mere launching with new mobiles will not help and would not survive in this fierce competition in mobile industry

Anton .el PAPI., 22 Mar 2024You are making an LG, this mobile brand is already dead!! I... moreEven worse, LG was basically rebranding Wingtech's P35-based ODM slabs and gave up their mobile division completely, making way for Vivo, Oppo and self-branded (Samsung) oversupply in the low end market because of LG's failed attempt.

If they didn't screw up their reputation with Wingtech's P35 slabs, they could've at least survived with niche sales, regardless of how big or small their consumer base was.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 22 Mar 2024Weird that SD hasn't made a 6 series chip in quite a w... moreOr likely the opposite, given Lenovo's increasing laptop sales and declining smartphone sales. To each their own

          Too confusing.

Must be doing like Xiaomi. A device is Pro in China, then non-pro in India, then same device is Pro+ somewhere else.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 22 Mar 2024Weird that SD hasn't made a 6 series chip in quite a w... morenot motorla! lenovo!!! chinese philosophy, they degrade them here and there but they maintain the price to try to obtain higher profit margins, i think that at lenovo they are feeling some pressure from some manufacturer, maybe bbk with the realme?

Lonteku , 22 Mar 2024What's happened with Motorola? Why they downgrade chip... moreYou are making an LG, this mobile brand is already dead!! It was already doing these things in its last years, they launched the same mobile in Latin America but with a lower range chip but maintaining the price of the one with the strongest chip!! We all know where doing those practices took them hahaha

Weird that SD hasn't made a 6 series chip in quite a while, but its strange moto is downgrading the chips for the edge 50 series, maybe they are planning something else behind the scenes like a true flagship tier, and make the edge a flagship killer line.

                  Big downgrade in the chipset.

Didn't the previous Edge 30 Fusion have an 888+ in it?
Bit of a downgrade in comparison.

                        What's happened with Motorola? Why they downgrade chips for their flagship line? Egde 50 ultra use 8s gen3 { 8 gen3, egde 50 use 7 gen3 { 7+ gen3, edge 50 fusion use 6 gen 1 { 7s gen2 .

I've just sent the Edge 40 back for a refund.
WiFi speed won't go above 20mbps. Still.in android 13 and last November security update.
Motorola only makes sense for the very cheapest phones.
