I'll probably buy a35 after that considering you ain't wrong about the camera point and the fact that the 2 phones are extremely similar... Again thanks a lot for all the help

Maximate, 26 Mar 2024I also founded a new fact in favour of A54 .. it can record... moreYou should consider how much do you use the video features of your current phone and for what purposes.
If you mainly use the selfie camera for video calls, social media, family/friends gatherings and what not - you really don't need 4k or 60 fps. For one - video calls and social media videos are always heavily compressed and mostly played on small smartphone screens so you don't get benefits from your camera being able to shoot at this quality.

Also, even if a midrange phone selfie cam can do 4K 60fps - the hardware and software is more limited compared to a flagship so on most midrangers you lose any kind of stabiliziation and since you mainly shoot videos from your hand and often while moving, you get 4k 60 but so shaky that whoever watches it can easily get seasick.

You are better off with a stable and clear 1080p 30fps video where the processor and memory are not struggling to process and record such high flow of information.

The only times you can get useful 4k footage with a midrange is when it's on a tripod and not moving or if you slap it onto some sort of a gimbal stick, which from my own experience is almost never.

Like I said, unless you need some level of professional footage, don't mind the cameras that much. And besides since you have decided to chose from A54 or A35 - The difference here is very minimal.

I have a 2 year old flagship which back then I spent a ton of money on, thinking I will use all the fancy cameras so much, but I don't do professional photography neither do I shoot high quality videos for a job, so I just got a fancy 1000+ EUR phone with all cameras capable of shooting 4k 60 and taking amazing photos in all kinds of conditions. But in the end I keep videos on 1080 30fps because that's good enough for social media and files are not ridiculously large for no reason.
And I rarely make use of the fancy camera tech. I use it exactly like I used my previous 250 EUR phone at the end of the day.

So to summarize, if I was wondering between those two phones like you - I'd get the A35 and if I ever want or need something good for photos or videos and I'm on a budget, I'd go and get a real camera or a DSLR from a pawnshop for way less money and not worry about it that much. :D

Same goes for 720p at 480fps from back camera which a35 can not.... Considering this, and the fact that i am not a vlogger... Do you still think a35 is better?

It is better for the battery and overall longevity and in my opinion 4k video recording on the ultrawide has a rather limited use case unless you need it for any sort of work/vlogging, but for something like that you'd generally need a decent camera phone if not an actual camera.

Also, the HDR in video is not a huge deal. Again, fairly limited use case and on a phone screen you don't get that much improvement overall. Besides, Samsung displays are generally good enough so you I don't think you will feel like you need it.

Maximate, 26 Mar 2024So i went i detail for both phones (particularly in GSMAren... moreA35 is the best but don't buy the 128 gb variant. Go for 256 gb the with ufs 3.1 128 gb having ufs 2.1. Really disappointed choice from samsung.

So i went i detail for both phones (particularly in GSMArena's own tests) and here are the differences in favour of A54:
                        HDR10+ support
Better camera (in mega pixels and the staff's comments, but quality is almost same)
                        4k video in ultrawide
Better pixel density (even though the resolution is same)
                        Less weight

Now for the facts against A54
Heat issues spiking compared to A35's stable temp
                        Smaller screen size
Gorilla glass 5 and not victus+
3 years of software update left compared to 4 years of A35

Even after this comparison i am still unsure which is better, so if any of you have any ideas on which is better, do let me know
