Samsung finally details its latest Exynos 1480 chipset

      I checked the official samsung website for both Exynos 1480 and Samsung A55, it said the performance cores is 4 x Cortex A78 @2,75 Ghz, not 2 x A78, which one is true? But based on the benchmarks its clearly 4 performance cores.

        Equal or below sd 782g.

            its a smurf, 29 Mar 2024Back in the early 2010s the exynos flagship chipset was act... moreIt's drivers not Optimization, Nvidia had one Tegra soc for years but use to beat Snapdragon from 2015 until 2018, 3 years Qualcomm was trailing behind against old soc, if it was optimizations then Tegra would be bad same or worse than Mali.

            Arm and it's partners don't care about Mali Gpu, if they open drivers and allow developers to do their things then they will optimize their apps.

                Open GL is hit and miss though.

                        Okay, you right, Skyrim, Witcher 3, Mafia, C&C: Generals, Stray, The Long Dark, SnowRunner, Watch Dogs 2, etc, all these games require internet connection.

                        And of course gaming needs more stability than supercomputers and servers, it's a reason why all gamers use UPS, electric generator, RAM with ECC, oh wait...

One mak... moreBack in the early 2010s the exynos flagship chipset was actually the superior option. Then they got laughably bad. So games and apps stopped optimizing for the exynos chipsets. Exynos is starting to get back on it's feet again. That being said it still lacks the optimization qualcomm has on most apps. Times change and competitiveness is the source of innovation. Just give it time exynos should keep getting better and might match sd in the following years.

                                  For what its worth nuclear energy is still used despite of it's risks.
                                  Also i'm curious what is "natural energy"?

                                  At the same time I beleive it all comes down to preference. For me amd has always been the underdog (whether you're talking about the cpu or the gpu market). And they certaintly have been the more innovative on both markets in my opinion. That does come with some problems sure (especially for the early adopters) but it can be worth your while.
