So.. Where is Lite lineup? There will be no Xiaomi 14 Lite? Civi 4 Pro (China) / 14 Civi (India) is not sold global.

If your a gamer, the 12R is better with 8 Gen 2 beating 8+ Gen 1 and Tensor G3.
If your a photographer or like photos, I would wait for Pixel 9 to come around.
If your not any of those things then Nothing Phone (2) would be a good candidate.
I would also browse what the S23 line has in store, forget about S23 FE (just as bad heating)

I use Galaxy S22 now...(purchased at slightly higher price for what Samsung is asking for A55.)
Seems good device but let down by its small battery,easy to heat & heavy OneUI...Otherwise beautiful device overall.
But if i had to trade my phone to any other device then its gonna be a Nothing/OnePlus or even Pixel(if they could fix issues with Tensor SoC)
I like the fluidity of Stock android.Pixel & Nothing phones feel faster for similarly powerful hardware.
OnePlus has heavy UI But R-series with top grade SoC offsets the penalty of running a heavy UI.

OP12R, Poco F5 and Neo 9 Pro mops the floor with A55, probably not in cameras but besides that, it's getting pummeled. In the US, you have 3 choices. Samsung, Apple and OnePlus. OP has their 12R, Apple has SE3 (flagship killer?) and A5/A3x.
S23 FE = A75, a device we never got because A54 just seemed better to make. If S23 FE and A55 cost the same, go with A55. Hude performance trade off and you lose that physical zoom lems (tele) but you do gain RDNA 2 graphics, better battery stability and well, it's just better, if you don't being Xiaomi to the mix

A flagship killer uses flagship parts from last year and price it under a certain threshold, like say 550 USD or 520 euros
Galaxy S FE line up, I would call a flagship killer, but Samsung just has to not use chips like 8 Gen 1 or any chip that overthrottles

Samsung is really not interested in making flagship killers. They just want you to switch to their highest tier phone.
Even S-vanilla & Plus versions costing almost $1000 seems like heavily nerfed versions of their S-Ultra.
Look at A55 costing more than OnePlus 12R,Nothing Phone 2,Poco F5,iQoo Neo 9 Pro,Moto Edge 40 Pro...A55 doesn't even feel like it's competing in similar price bracket.

Hold on, "reshape the midrange market"? Isn't the Redmi line has always been Xiaomi's midrange offering in the first place? If I were Xiaomi, I'd try putting a built-in stylus inside the Redmi Note line to give it a more distinctive character than the rest of the family line.

When will Samsung make a flagship killer? Literally everyone is doing it, even Apple with their SE4 coming soon. It will have A16, 5G and the likes for under 550 USD, I'm sure
OnePlus has their 12R, Xiaomi with their Poco X and F troopers, vivo has their V line up and Realme has GT series (I think)

- A series: bottom of the barrrel. Only one each year
- Vanilla series: Only one each year
- Note series: Only normal and Pro
- Turbo series: Gaming focused ones. Only normal and Pro
- K series: Top ones with 2 models.

It could be called Xiaomi Ultra Mega Pro max Nitro Turbo Elite Legendary Grandmaster Edition for just less confusing.
Wouldnt mind to have box in which phone comes in to be fully covered by phone naming.
