Nokia developing a Snapdragon 800 smartphone

18 June, 2013
The chipset was mentioned in a doc on Nokia's site, presumably on its way for a Windows Phone 8 handset.

I don't get it... why bother to troll always on Nokia - WP news, if Nokia is dead and WP is non existent.

I presume you don't care for something so dead and insignificant. I didn't like the Windows monopoly of the 90's... now i don't like the Android monopoly, so is good to see some competition and alternatives it makes the mobile market fresh and competitive.

Is good to know that WP is growing, that way iOS, Android and BB will keep innovating, that benefits everyone. If you like monopoly and wishing to Nokia - WP fails... then you must be crazy.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2013Then how come mine doesn't lag ? I have galaxy s4 Exynos 5 ... moreNokia is growing everyday. Your Android quad core with fragmented SoC is slow and buggy compares to WP8. Lumia 520 is selling out everywhere. Lumia 925 just released. Rumor that quad core WP8 are coming and possibly an EOS Nokia Phone with 41 MegaPixel camera. Nokia has superior hardware, design, and build quality.

I have galaxy s4 Exynos 5 and it's super smooth and fast in everything. I am not going to waste my time arguing with somebody who still believes Nokia has a chance, Nokia is dead, like all ancient empires, everything has an end. WP managed to increase 0.1% during the last quarter that's the equivalent of how much Android and iOS did in a single day. MS better stick with desktop windows 7-like operating systems and leave the phone and console segment altogether since they are nowhere near competitive anymore.

Quad core on Windows Phone 8 will have the same performance as a 20 core on Android. WP8 is super optimized.

Everyone was born with Microsoft PC sitting at their homes, schools or work but why do people switch? 1st windows 8, then xbox one and then WP! seriously microsoft brand is losing it.

Android VS Windows phone, are you having a laugh? It's like bringing a banana to a gun fight.

To summarise, the windows phone is a good idea, crippled by poor phones and restricted software, poor development and even worse phones, your argument was flawed before you spoke.

Nokia does great phones,full-stop. 800 snap.d. is more than welcome, for photography video browsing and gaming. but important is to manage to receive it not inside huge devices.. imho, any smartphone more than 4.5' size is getting away from being a phone anymore. after that i'd go for a tablet, other use segment.

It's true and as a matter of fact that you're a plastic fan of Android, you simply can't admit it because it's the truth. Google Play Store has many useless, pornographic, malware supported, duplicate and trash applications, if you will separate the water from sand you'll get only 10% of water. Only 200-300 apps are useful in Google Play Store and the remaining amount of apps are copy of another apps or simply close to poop. Admit it or not. It's true. Microsoft has quality apps and Windows Mobile 8 is way more secure than Android and it's a fact. Even the old Nokia Lumia 920 beats Samsung Galaxy S4 in terms of photography, especially in low light photography. Most of the Android devices pays Microsoft $10 or $15 mostly for patents. Lmao. So, Microsoft and Nokia, both are godfather. Android is bs and i don't care you believe in your bs.
