I was hoping Motorola would come in with a more affordable price point to get them in the hands of more people. It's the smart move to get them back on top after falling behind in the market. The high price will drive potential buyers to Samsung, Apple, Google or others just as im considering. They have to do better.

I'm so fed up with the assumption that everyone thinks that the "old continent" is rich and therefore can afford higher prices compared to other parts in the world. IT ISN'T! It makes no sense to charge almost double the price for the same devices just because "we can handle it" in Europe. That was maybe the case in the past (although I cannot remember that we have ever been richer than other countries in the world, at least not amongst the people I came in contact with) but it's certainly not the fact now.

Found a bug with the speaker while having phone calls, Motorola didn't accept this as a real problem after months despite many users reported in support page and forums
The support is really bad (from level one to level 3)
I have to send my phone to warranty department because they said no issue found and it was only option .
They send me back another one having the same problem (as expected)
Issue finally got resolved after months when OS updated
And I stayed with a like new phone (refurbished) with no option to get back mine
No more motorola

The main problem with Motorola devices is the price which becomes lower too quickly. You could buy the phone for 600€ and after the retailer closes the return window of the device, price becomes 100 or 200€ cheaper.
Motorola should give significant incentive to permit people to don't be disappointed by this negative marketing side effect.

If you really want Motorola in Europe you can get the Edge 40 pro for less than this and it should also perform better generally, even in the camera department. The only way the Edge 50 pro would work is if they pulled what they did last year with the Edge 40 series. A little overprice at start and then massive discounts. This device at 550€ could have a chance to be really good.

And at in August (may released) it did hit 300€ for a short time.

All the specs are a lot better than most others 400 for china market only in EU 600 would be good price anything above is not.

I bought mine last week of july 2023 for 789 euros.
This dont have SD 8 gen 3 just SD 7 gen 3 which aint bad but feels like a big decrease other parameters are litterary same apart the front camera where Motorola edge 40 pro was the very first phone with 60 Mpix selfie camera.
This pprice aint fair but will drop soon or later.
Anyway the Edge 40 pro which seems a bit better than current 50 pro is from 639 euros now. I dont see any reason why to buy Edge 50 pro which seems a bit worse device. and a bit more expensive but lets see.

That's really overpriced.
You can buy a Samsung S21 Ultra or S22 Ultra for less than that from used sources. Which are way better!
