08 April 2024

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2024we know the samsung fe models after 2021 stands for failure... moreMy good man, are u ok?

The FE serves as an entry point into the S-series and to complement the next gen S-series or serve as a mid life refresh of the previous gen.

The whole point of the FE is to get people who want a little of the Base S-series and the S+ -series

To write them as "fAiLuRe EdiTiOn" and "YoU'rE jUsT sEnDiNg ThE cOmPaNy MoNeY" is typically how you pay for goods and services y'know?

It's the same thing as Samsung did with Tab S6 Lite. Heck, that tablet even has two generations of re-release, so I won't be surprised if Samsung pulls the same move here.

Persumably this refresh of the 4 might also update the internal processor (otherwise why not just keep selling the watch 4 as is and not bother with the "(2022)" monicker) and shipping with the latest WearOS out of the box, but otherwise keeping the body and other hardware features the same so that the new watch 4 can be offered as a cheaper entry level galaxy watch.

Hopefully they don't do the same as the Fit 3 and only offer it to select regions to force other countries to buy either another brand or a more expensive model

Watch 4, 5 and 6 are the same watches except bigger batteries and screens. I wished they focused more on this wearable.

There is definitely room for watch design variations from all brands. It's not only a smart device, it's also something you wear all day, every day.
It is time to see design variations, like on regular watches. They're all making billions in profits from releasing "one for all" solutions. They can afford to give up some of those profits for real personalisation going beyond the colour of the digital watchface.

Shows the lack of innovation and stagnation in the mobile arena when you can sell rebadged products that are years old as "new". Samsung flogging old tat to consumers who are not tech savvy.

I rely on it extensively and a very heavy user. I use it for google maps navigation while riding my motorcycle, answering calls, tracking my gym workouts, and almost daily sleep tracking. I aim to have have my Daily Activity ring full everyday.

Yes, sometimes the UI stutters a bit, but constantly freezing and unresponsive? Your experience may be different than mine, but the only time I can remember it behave like that is when I'm finishing the One UI Watch 5.0 update. Never have I ever factory reset my watch either.

I don't get who this is targeting. If the Watch 6 ain't selling drop the phone. But offering 2-3 year old tech on a smartphone ain't a good business move.
