Google realized Samsung's implementation was better and has improved it in 2024 - for ALL android phones, not Samsung only.

This has issue . Old devices are visible which I no longer user also no option to remove them . It's a bad design same as how google device are managed .

Few years ago sister lost phone in city in UK .. She had location on and she checked location on laptop .. She called police that please help me retrieve phone it is in this location
And police officer said sorry we can't.. SO it is CLEALRY not for getting your phone back !
