iPhone 16 series battery capacities leak

One of them is smaller than you might expect.

I suspect the following iPads will do a lot better on thermals and battery time than the upcoming 16 pros. If this turns out to be the case I'll try to get an iPad set as iPhone replacement. Not a fan of Bluetooth earphones or watch for calls but I'll take it as a compromise.

It’s Apple ecosystem, it’s own garden make it incredible efficient, if it was a 5000mAh battery should be last longer than I thought
Also I feel same way, ignore those fanboy arguments for both, it wasting time to argue with them.

Why they want to reduce iPhone plus size battery ? So people will buy more Pro Max...

I own a iPhone 15 Pro max for the last 4 months..
Trust me battery life is not okay..
Thermal throttling and overheating is always there..
My first iPhone that has ever required a power bank..
I had no issues with 14 pro max before..
I suspect it’s the titanium coating which screwed up the thermals..

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2024Whatever is made by Apple, work well together under single ... moreThis is false, Apple benefited from Nuvia technology to improve the speed/consumption of its SoCs. Qualcomm will use Nuvia cores from the Gen 4 series. In addition, Qualcomm manages to do better than Apple in terms of speed although Apple uses TSMC 3nm manufacturing vs 4nm at Qualcomm

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2024Whatever is made by Apple, work well together under single ... moreAgreed. I've been a lifelong android user but Al fed up with Google right now given how draconian they have become. They now remind me of the Germany in the 30s...

The tiny batteries of the smaller models are clearly a way to urge consumers to buy the more expensive larger models. Or, if they buy the smaller phones, urge consumers to keep them for a shorter period of time, since it will be unbearable to go long with such a tiny battery. Lame. Every person I know that has bought a regular or pro iphone is whining about the battery.

Multi app could be more suitable definition. Then what's the purpose of multi apps on a tiny touchscreen like a phone... Except you are alien splitting two games and a lessening app with 20 fingers and lazer eyes, it's not relevant at all, to me.

Their battery effi... moreWhatever is made by Apple, work well together under single name, that’s why their hardware is so efficient, despite its less ram, less core count, less battery than common Android, still can overtake Android even how badass android spec is. It’s likely very lightweight sports car, engine is reasonable but aerodynamic cut like blade, properly designed VS another sports car with engine way bigger but heavy body with a lot of aerodynamic drag. That’s why Apple just insanely efficient.

The only issues with battery life is when you're outside, using mobile data and GPS, but that's a problem for every phone. Luckily you have a multitude of magsafe batteries to choose from.

It is impressive how they get away with putting such meager batteries in their overpriced devices...

AnonD-1147675, 10 Apr 2024Why are iPhones' batteries always so small in comparis... moreSoftware optimizations and efficient chips. Since iOS is closed source, it's a one-size fits all deal. Apple also publishes 4-5 phones a year. The usual vanilla duo, the pro duo and the SE model.
                                      A15 and A16 are on 4nm, A17 Pro is on 3nm. Compare that to a 7/8nm chip like A12B.

Whereas with Android, there's one car and everyone (Samsung, Xiaomi, BBK, etc.) have the keys.

A 2-6% increase or decrease is quite literally nothing. 4% less of 5000 is 4800 milliamp hours.
Android is an operating system but there are skins, or forks (variation), of it. One fork, let's say Oxygen/ColorOS could have stellar battery life thanks to efficient chipsets in the phones.

Tl;DR - Software optimizations are pretty good on iOS, they use efficient chips from TSMC and since iOS is closed source, they don't make several versions, only 1 for every phone with support
