It's not like it's a small difference. It is cheaper and that's a fact. Why do you think manufacturers like Redmi and Iqoo are using the 8s gen 3 in their cheaper models? Because it is cheaper. It's the whole purpose of the chip. They have made some cuts in the peripheral specs of the chip like the L3 cache for example. Only 4mb versus 8mb in the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 12mb in the snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for example. Overall in tests by Chinese reviewers under heavy load it performs worse in real life too. It's still very good though just not better and yes it is cheaper

This motorola phone is celebrating it's 120th birthday. It made its cake with peach fuzz cream filling. I bet it can't wait to start it's baking journey since 5 years old!

Replacement of the motherboard on the Redmi k70 costs 2,220rmb versus 1540b on the Xiaomi Civi 4 pro for example. There's absolutely no doubt it's cheaper. Many Chinese reviewers have also been stating if any manufacturer released a snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the same price as the snapdragon 8s gen 3 (1,999rmb) it would be a big hit

The processor is a slight downgrade on the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Edge 40 pro but the cameras will be upgraded. I think they should price it slightly lower than the edge 40 pro launch price to be competitive.
