Looks like I'll be skipping this series as well - the colors available on the Ultra are definitely not my thing, and based on the apps I'm using I don't see an opportunity to use this smartphone as my primary one. Still, if the white Ultra were available, I'd have thought myself seriously, because it's uniquely beautiful, and the microG & GBox offer a good base that I might well adjust to somewhat over time. GMS doesn't interest me, but I miss other native apps that will obviously take quite a while to reach AppGallery.

Just a heads up, the Pura 70 series will have an official local release here in Malaysia. The Pura 70 12/256 sells for MYR3,699 (~€724), while the Pura 70 Pro 12/512 sells for MYR4,899 (~€959), and the Pura 70 Ultra 16/512 sells for MYR6,599 (~ €1,292). Except for the Pro model, since we're getting the 512GB storage trim, it's not far off from the table's converted Euro prices. In fact, those prices are almost similar to what Samsung Malaysia sells for the Galaxy S24 series.

I am using Huawei for 8 years, it provides very good service, be it in google play store or whatever, Huawei will be on top again one day, best of luck.

I would try because technically POV match an user requirement. Beside, when a tech gadget prohibited by US, could be sign of 'ought to be something there's proof link back in history like Walkman, Wireless earbuds etc.

I chose "none of the above" option. I don't care about Play Store, I am already managing without it, for privacy with Google reasons, but none of these phones would I ever need.
Ok so its so-called modern era, and absence of 3.5mm jack can be reconsidered, as its just an adaptor away. But microSD still evades us in all these phones and I don't like this.
So, these are not for me.

Then make the China-friendly country to make apps for Harmony OS such as the arab world, latin America & Africa.

But I need to be productive and my time is valuable. I'm not going to wait years for apps to start working.
I'm sure that Huawei will support a kind of emulation, just as Windows ARM will emulate x86 or run Android apps. However, that emulation better be really good! You'd be foolish to pay 1000-2000usd for a device you can't be productive on. Huawei knows this. They'll make sure Chinese apps work first, and it will take longer than they and Huawei patriots think. They will probably own two phones just so they can do everything they need.

Without the support from their government,no company can become multi-billion giant....no matter how much better your products are if your company doesn't get support or don't act accordingly to plans of government then they're gonna screw at some point.
So chinese ones are no different but the biggest issue arises from stand of US regarding China.
Sure Chinese are not saint,nor US/EU.They track masses,data to have better control but the entire argument of EU,US being good & Russia,China being bas is nonsenses.
If spying was bad then why allow NSA or 5 Eyes to even exist in 1st place & what about spying by Google,Apple,FB,Insta & Countless US,EU companies?What do you call it?
