Latest iPhone 16 leak reiterates display sizes

28 April 2024
The Pro models will get larger screens than their predecessors.

Even if S23 and S23+ doesn't have LTPO display, it can vary the refresh rate from 120hz to 10hz.

NOK6600, 29 Apr 2024camera bump look nearly similar to Xperia 5' V design ... moreAt least you get two cameras and not a big camera bump that looks like it has four cameras, when in reality it's just one functional (and crummy) camera offered by Realme.

user, 29 Apr 2024simple recipe: just buy a pixelI am an Android user, but if I had to choose between a Pixel and an iPhone, I would rather the latter. Although I don't like Apple products, the Google phone has been a crap since they left QUALCOMM to build their own processor with Samsung.

808Keys, 29 Apr 2024The 60&120hz refresh rate debate is so annoying. I real... moreIt's the new megapixel. The fact that youtubers have to slow down their videos to show a difference means that most people won't really notice it day to day.

Remember how many people bashed the iPhone XR for using a less than 1080p panel? There's a blind test and people actually couldn't tell the difference between the XR panel and a higher res one when viewing the phone normally. People got only excited over larger number.

Besides, iPhone 17 will get LTPO anyway, so those getting a hard on on refresh rate but dont want to buy the iphone pro can simply wait for another year.

People forget that even Samsung only put LTPO panel just this year on their regular Galaxy S24 phones. Previously, LTPO was only on the Ultra.

[deleted post]Wow, not having 1.5K USD to spend on a brand new phone is considered being poor now huh? No matter however you put it when 'Nothing' a brand new London based company( not a Chinese one mind you) can give you LTPO 1-120hz refresh rate, a good software experience and a solid battery life around 500-600USD, it's not a wrong thing to expect a slight upgrade to 90hz display on base iphones which costs 700-800$ which is nowhere cheap wherever you live in. It's also bad considering the displays are dirt cheap these days and you can find a decent OLED panel with HRR on phones around 150-300USD.

For Apple as a company they can do it but obviously won't do, so that they can sell the pros more by making the base models appear bad, if no one expects these basic stuffs from a huge player such as apple, you'll soon be seeing other manufacturers catch up and do similar stuffs (looking at you Samsung and OnePlus - FE models and R models, they are already started doing similar trends). So it's not totally wrong to criticize Apple

TL;DR 1.5K USD is not pocket change unless you're a millionaire and it's always good to have positive criticisms

What most tech news and YouTubers will gloss over is the fact that the regular iPhone 16 will get 8GB of RAM. When Apple increase the RAM on their regular model, something is up.

DaFink, 29 Apr 2024Well that would just suggest that it’s more of an issue for... moreMost people here are kids. That's why all they're excited about are cheap Chinese phones with different plastic backs every few months.

                Whatever 🤷🏻‍♂️

Funny that Android users are complaining about something that doesn't concern them haha, any non-pro iPhone screen at 60Hz is a thousand times better than any high-end Android panel with cheap 120Hz panels... I don't see the users Those Apple phones complain about absolutely nothing and they don't care about not having 120hz on a phone hahahahaha

Thankfully I bought the 15 Pro. It’s already large enough.

DarlingYext, 29 Apr 2024Their customer base that still accepts and buys their 60hz ... moreWell that would just suggest that it’s more of an issue for you than them 🤔

The thing I find kinda strange is this site is replete with people who are no fans of Apple and certainly will not be buying the next iPhone, no matter how many times a second the screen refreshes, and yet still get their unmentionable’s in a twist over that how many times a second the screen refreshes 🤷

If the base and plus models ain't 120hz refresh rate, then iphone is a joke

David 040882, 29 Apr 2024Seriously? The vanilla and plus models will still stick wit... moreA lot is wrong with Apple, since they got caught red-handed by EU for their gatekeeping measures. Also, the resolution they use is far from proper and tend to have problems watching content made for standard resolutions (talking about 1080p and 1440p). AOD misses on the vanilla models and that seems off to me since my galaxy S10+ from 5 years ago had that feature 3 years after the first model. So...

I thought my friend's 13 Pro Max would be the biggest iPhone yet, since you couldn't hold it properly unlike the S23 Ultra, which has a narrower display. But 6.9 inch... come on Apple, I bet we won't be able to hold it in our pockets
