carol, 01 May 2024You are right, Microsoft also licensed NOKIA names, but nok... moreMicrosoft never licensed the Nokia brand.
That's why Windows Phone rapidly died after Nokia left. The "Nokia" brand was selling Lumias.
When Microsoft took over, they changed it to "Microsoft Lumia" and launched the 650, 950 and 950XL. And that was it. Without the Nokia brand the phones flopped hard and Microsoft closed down the mobile division and, with it, Windows Phone.

The Nokia factories were sold most of them prior to Nokia itself selling the D&S Division to Microsoft. Only a few factories passed to Microsoft and then to other companies.

We generally use "early" to denote the first 3-4 decades, "mid" to denote the middle decade or two, and "late" to denote the later years upto the start of the next century. I hope my point is clear to you.

pl2rts, 30 Apr 2024What do you mean ? As far as i know nothing have happened ... moreThe Nokia mobile division sold to Microsoft is technically HMD today. Even the chairpersons are the same from the then Microsoft-owned Nokia mobile division. In fact, unsold Microsoft Lumias were essentially refurbished to manufacture Nokia's low ends, particularly the Nokia 2. Surface devices have no relation to Nokia's mobile division.

As far as i know nothing have happened to Nokia.
Never mind that Nokia sold it's department to Microsoft long time ago and sise then they have not made any phones. Nokia branding was used by HMD for like past 6-7 years but that is not Nokia

Deem 260 euro for a tablet and it have only 4GB ram and 64GB storage and it goes up to 300 euro with just 6/128GB

Redmi Pad Pro as Poco Pad will be cheaper and more modern with a lot better specs also.

And then there rugged phone for close to 500 euro and you get bottom end of the middle class chip SD695.

Well Nokia was either SD 200 or 400 chips in most of there smartphones and even under Microsoft. Now under HMD they also have like 2-3 chips that cover all of their devices
