I don't understand why Chinese companies really love to locked you on your software, similar to Apple. (except 1+ maybe, but for some weird reason another BBK companies also doesn't support unlocking bootloader).

                  Is this true?

                  I have washed my hands off Lmaome since they forced the dirty ads into the system apps many moons ago. But I only remember my Note 4 being effortless to unlock and reflash with LineageOS and Note 7 being a pain that required creating an account on their website, submitting your phone info, waiting for like a week for them to "authorize" the unlock and only then being able to flash some AOSP variant on it.

                  Used to actually like this company, but if they are making you jump so many hoops now like gain "community levels" like eh...the infamous social point system...just to unlock the bootloader after boasting about being so user and MOD friendly (1+ being the other clowncar company which used to do the same thing) then wow what a fall these people have had.

                                But the important thing here is that the Civi can produce great results from 15mm to 100mm, while also being competitive in other areas for a decent price

                                  If the model number (24053PY09C / 24053PY09I) is anything to go by, which is usually indicative of Xiaomi launches in most cases, it should arrive in May and not June. It would also make more sense to launch this before the Turbo 3 goes global in June, otherwise it just gets cannibalised by its own sibling.
