Top tier cities are the best places to live in China, such as the capital city, Shanghai, Shenzhen or Guangzhou and maybe Tianjin also. There are 4 types of cities in China, and the tier one cities I mentioned before are the best cities to live in like every aspects( salary, public transportation, shops and so on). Comparing China with its neighbor India or Pakistan, China has better salaries. China is not that cheap as it was 10 years ago.

Here in Belgium/France, we can have for 0.20-0.26 depeding on farming method. If caged eggs, it's even less than 0.17 per egg.

Cllassic, 01 May 2024What about the salaries in China?If you ever visit Asian country such as Malaysia and Singapore, you will understand how Asian country such as China work.
In Asian country we have a government-subsidize housing, healtcare & school. Along with public transport. This subsidize thing is quite good. For many people that were not in top earning, using the government subsidize "infrastructure" is already good. That's why this country, despite low GDP, still have a content citizen.

US GDP is very high due to their 1% capture 90% of the whole US income.
Meaning, that the average American is way bellow GDP.

You might point to me about prices in China being really cheap, but that's when converted to our money. The average person in China does not earn anywhere close to the level of income that the average Westerner does. China doesn't want you to see its poverty levels either, so will do everything possible to lie about their statistics and hide their poor and homeless away from foreigners' eyesight.

If you're taking about EverGrande, this is the part that you were wrong.
The CEO of EverGrande raise capital in the USA, but didn't send the capital back to China.
He use this to transfer his wealth to the US. This is about trying to send money abroad.
Second,
China did not allow their citizen to have too much property by borrowing.
Only the first house/apartment can be purchase with borrowing money from bank.
The second, third, and so on must be paid cash in full amount.

Media have been telling us for the past years that China has serious problems in order to distract us from our own problems. But China still hasn't fallen apart and keeps growing. The problems that I have in my homecountry (Germany) or more serious. You pay half of your salary for taxes and other social stuff, then you have to pay another large part for things like rent and food (the prices for both have risen drastically in the past years and keep rising). Meanwhile the billionaires have doubled their wealth.
