                regs, 05 May 2024Nothing really prevents your app developers to publish APKs... moreIn theory yes. But no phone carriers in Sweden got any Huawei phone anymore. And the electronic retailers here have removed them to.
                Huawei was a very big brand here before USA did the restrictions in same level as Samsung and iPhone, now they are basicly gone. You can probably import one via AliExpress and some other sites.
                So I think the brand are more or less dead in the EU region.

What does the CCP do (or care) about me? Instead if my government is spying on me they could look more in depth on my income and maybe even tax me more.

                    But would take Harmony over Android anytime a day and would take Android over IOS anytime a year.
                    Some OS are meant to be better and some are just burden as they should be useless and incomplette.

                          In a twist of irony, I would rather have a government take my data than a corporation.
                          At least a government will have no interest in selling it.

                                  From this we can only hope that they will work on a smaller Pura80 for next year.

                                      The oversized displays and lack of basic hardware features is what stops me from buying another Huawei P series phone, more than the lack of Google's spyware.

                                      That being said, I'm never paying 1500 for a Chinese phone, regardless of brand. I won't pay that for a Samsung - which at least had good software - let alone for iClones both in hardware and software.

In Russia everything is up in AppGallery, as well as every socially important application is available to download as APKs, and so as there are several more independent app stores.

                                        So lack of Google Play is totally irrelevant. Only app you can get from there is YouTube, but YouTube gone broke and doesn't work with Gboard for over a year at least. Google completely abandoned YouTube app, so it's irrelevant either.
