Or maybe we'll see this Dimensity chip in the Pixel 9 (non-Pro) if it doesn't replace the 9a, but they would need to cut some corners on it so it doesn't cannibalize the 9 Pro/XL.

Tbh this is a bit doesn't makes sense. If they're really banned, then why can we still see MediaTek or Unisoc or Exynos powered midrangers in the US? Just take Samsung A35, A25, A15, and A03S as the example. I won't talk about Motorola, OnePlus, TCL, etc.

Mills, 03 May 2024I expect Nothing to finally debut in the US some time soon.... moreI doubt that it will be a Nothing phone. If it was them, it would be the Phone 2a because they seem to be releasing new phones at a rate of 1 model per year. Also MediaTek says it will be a high-end SoC (I noticed, too, that they didn't say it is a flagship chip). I don't think the Dimensity 7200 in the 2a is considered high-end, but a company can still claim that their own product is high-end for the sake of hype.
I have a feeling it will be Motorola's X50 Ultra since we don't know too many specifics about it. The Edge 50 Ultra does not seem to have the physical size of a proper successor to the Edge+ 2023. I can see them putting a Dimensity 8000 or 9000 series chip in it.

They do make US-only models... moreI agree that Oneplus would be better, but I doubt it will be from them because I think that they released all of their flagship and mid-range phones for this year, with any new model announcements in these classes being the same phones but renamed for specific markets. Plus, they already blessed us in the US with great value in the form of the 12R.

This dimensity 9000 are too overrated, performance is good but just that, it cant even sustain long period full performance and battery is dead
Well if there is a tablet (7-8" so it can be held by hands in handheld mode as well as kickstand so it can stand on its own in desktop mode) with no battery mode equipped with these chip, then its gonna be a decent gaming device worth to looked at

This article is incredibly inaccurate. Google Pixels from the 6 onwards have been powered by Google Tensor (née Samsung Exynos), and the LG Velvet T-Mobile edition was powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 1000C. And I'm not sure how far back we're looking, but the Samsung Galaxy S6 infamously used the Exynos chip worldwide that generation in order to avoid the disastrous Snapdragon 808 and 810.
The reason for Qualcomm's dominance is because they hold the CDMA patents, which until recently, were required if you wanted to build a phone with Verizon or Sprint support. You didn't strictly need to buy the chip from Qualcomm, but their licensing practices generally made it uneconomical to license the CDMA patents while building your own processor and modern.

I expect Nothing to finally debut in the US some time soon. My guess is some underdog. Please be a BBK brand (Nothing is not part of BBK directly but yea)

I feel like it's Motorola. They do make US-only models as well as models only for Europe and Latin America and models for China only.
Wouldn't mind. Motorola actually has decent value out here. Granted, OnePlus would be the better case scenario since they have that update policy that trumps Motorola.

High-end Exynos is available only in the form of Tensor chips in Google Pixel phones whilst high-end MediaTek is still not widely available.
