It will be the successor to the G84 from last year.

For the people complaining about the previous model, the 695 5g was not a bad processor, especially considering it was running on almost stock android.
I expect them to use 6 gen1 or something, but I also kind of hope they use a mid range Mediatek because then it would be an amazing device for it's price.

As per my understanding, it makes sense for Motorola to use SD 6 Gen 1 in G85 for these reasons:

          - SD 6 Gen 1 is the immediate successor of 695
          - Smartphones from other brands with SD 6 Gen 1 are available in the market in the price segment of G84/G85
          - So far, Motorola hasn't used SD 6 Gen 1 in any global model. The only two models with 6 Gen 1 are Edge 50 Fusion (for LATAM countries only) and G Stylus 5G (2023) (not launched globally)
          - The International version of Edge 50 Fusion is equipped with 7s Gen 2 which makes more sense since traditionally, Edge series models have been using more powerful chipsets than G series

Android 14 was released six months ago. However, the cheaper Edge 30 Neo, G54 and G84 received it months ago. That's how logical Moto is.

Knowing Lenovo/Motorola, the battery won't have pulltabs for easier removal for repair and oh, hoping for a different SoC than the 695 again and again.

From What I know from leaks, It's Definitely 6 Gen 1 with AMOLED + 33W + 6000mAh Battery at same price as predecessor to keep Market in check against Realme , Vivo , Samsung & IQOO.
India launch is 2 months late from now so yeah it makes sense to reduce cost and compete against T3/Z9 , A15/M15/F15/M34/F34 & Realme Narzo 60/P1 Pro. But still Poco X6 beats it.

Hopefully they'll keep the headphone jack and microSD, but instead of the awful Snap 695 they'll use something actually half way decent.

                          Dimensity 8050, 8020, Snap 782G, 7s Gen 2 would all be good.

But knowing Lenovos aversion to making phones people actually buy they'll probably use the Snapdragon 695 again.

Ps, at least 3 android version updates should be included too. Xiaomi have promised 3 for the Poco X6 Pro and that also launched on android 14 and for a similar price €350.
