Global versions of other brands like Oppo, Vivo or Xiaomi will be theorically compatible with most of the GSM bands of major US & Canadian carriers unless their IEMI numbers are banned from use on their networks. It shouldn't be a big deal to import these from western Europe for use in North America.

Anonymous, 05 May 2024Privacy issues on Chinese phones are top notch...In my experience much better than on Samsung, in fact, I had zero privacy problems with Chinese phones, and I've used lots of them, I've disabled/uninstalled all the Chinese stuff and they didn't bother me.
and the fact that I can't block the apps from accessing the Internet is huge. Just now Microsoft announced that even WPS office isn't safe. It was completely blocked on my Chinese phones, with Samsung I have no Idea what the apps are sending and to whom (except for the Google, NSA, Chinese KGB, of course they have all my data, but nothing can be done about it), and of course it shows the ads now.

Flip4 has just been forgotten by Samsung... Flip3 even had the update already. S22 getting it.. eventually... Both older than flip4 . Samsung are utter garbage for just ignoring devices

That bug means delays for other updates again. Until there's a class action lawsuit against Samsung this will go on. S21 in Canada is still on the March update, S22 Ultra is on February (!)
Monthly updates were a part of the product, if Samsung doesn't provide them it should return the money.

My old Samsung p... moreIf you don't update, there's zero reasons to buy Samsung over chinese phones, it's simply inferior with horrific privacy issues (you can't even block apps from accessing Internet, because samsung enjoys its revenue stream from app publishers, putting their interests over the interests of the buyers)
