Is there possibility to launch it in India. Sony has closed it's smartphone business in India since long. We miss Sony smartphones a lot.

Darth Caesium, 06 May 2024Seriously. They should've just given it a Snadpragon 7... moreThey did have Xperia 10 Mk.V with 8 GB RAM, it just was limited to Hong Kong and Taiwan, just like XZ3 when the 6 GB version was only sold on those two countries (the rest got the 4 GB instead). It's just now they standardized the 8 GB for ROW (rest of the world).

Reading the comments, I believe no one is questioning the issue of actual performance, but rather price to performance ratio. I would assume that, unless an avid gamer, this phone should suffice enough for regular everyday use and provide a good experience.

The issue at hand is that if it goes over $400, there are options on the market that offer higher specs on paper. Eventhough Sony itself offers quality of life features that a few of us adore, most people within this range have to make a careful decision where they invest their money, and they do not find that in this phone.

Most importantly, we do not have confirmation whether or not they have upgraded the 60Hz panel. If not, this phone is dead on arrival.

Anonymous, 07 May 2024which means 7s gen 2 is trash. People need to stop demandin... more7+ Gen 2 was a fansastic chip (it was an underclocked version of 8+ Gen 1) and sadly we didnt see a wider adoption than it got. It appears that the price difference might not have been very high, and the manufacturers chose to stick with 8+ Gen 1 due to 8 series branding and wider recognition. Also, it is unlikely that it will appear in any new smartphones from here on.

7 Gen 3, although a tier below 7+ Gen 2, is a great midrange chip and can be called a true successor of (and a considersble improvement over) the 778G/782G chips. I would really like to see it get a wide adoption.

                Anonymous, 06 May 2024No https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdra... more7s Gen 2 and 7+ gen 2 are completely different products.

It already loses with an old chipset and probably will have a 60hz screen.

I might get cancelled for this, but I don't have any problem with 6 Gen 1 (considering every Xperia 10 series ALWAYS uses Snapdragon 6 series chipset).
The only problem, as always, is the pricing.

Now I wonder about the price.

Anonymous, 07 May 2024Again with this crap? 1) LYT700 is 50MP effective, not ... more(oops I accidentally posted this comment)

I thought having the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 would be a better choice until I found out that it and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 are just the same with the only major difference being the maximum amount of RAM available (16GB for 7s Gen 2 vs 8GB for 6 Gen 1), so I won't expect any better benchmark scores than what we seen in the Realme 12 Pro+ and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro/Poco X6. Speaking of RAM, it's about time the Xperia 10 got 8GB RAM.
