Sold 33,000,000 tablet!
That's a wow.
But the tablet is supposed to be a Super Portable Tool,
Needles to say it's Productivity spec shouldn't be less than Phone.
5Gsim, 512gb/1Tb, Pen, 8-12inch, UltraWide Camera are basic Producitivy Spec.
Otherwise it is just low spec iPad looser

but Windows isn't optimized for touch-screen. Android and iOS/ipadOS are made to be used with touch-screen.
I can't imagine anyone actually preferring Windows on touch-screen than Windows on keyboard and mouse/trackpad.

The ironic fact is almost 99% tablet marketshare is filled with tablet runs upscaled OS (read: Android and iPadOS), while tablet that runs Windows, Linux or any desktop OS (which should be the one that's running on a tablet) is not really popular and not much available. You're supposed to use a tablet to do a heavier task on your phone, not doing a phone task on a bigger screen. What's the point of giving the best spec on the market rn is the OS is the main limitation of the tablet itself?

notafanboy, 06 May 2024Tablets are truly worthless devices. Just junk.Not when it's powered by a true desktop OS like the Microsoft Surface Pro series, Lenovo Chromebook Duet series, and Minisforum V3. There are even GNU Linux tablets like the PINE64 PineTab series and Star Labs StarLite 5.

Tablets are awesome.
I went down the small phone plus tablet road and I'm never going back.
Need a big screen? A tablet is infinitely more useful than even the biggest phone. And more importantly, I can use a normal sized phone that won't cause hand cramps or gauge my pancreas when it's in my pocket and I bend down to tie my shoelaces.

"Others" might represent the absurd amount of new tablets from different entry and midrange segments from brands with less popularity like Ulefone, Doogee, Blackview/Oscal and so on. They are releasing new devices almost monthly.

Still surprised they still retained some fans outside China.

People buying less Apple, more Samsung, a ton more Huawei, more Lenovo(?) and a noticeable less Amazon Fires.
Huawei makes good tablets I guess.

The big day of handheld is tomorrow, will apple go a down with price point?, does Indian salary goes up, will they indicate screw AR\VR and get Mac curved screen instead, will china be conceiving AI? ..know all kind of scheme.
